Oh Sh*t! April Fools is coming!

For those who were not aware: it's the time of the year again when translators will torture and whip us readers again. This is the worst day to binge-read, I tell you. From having the translators write fake chapters, to giving us horrible cliffhangers, AND WORST OF ALL, frickin' difficult passwords to access to frickin' cliffhangers! So I made this thread to support every victim of the translators' sadism. So, who's with me?

I've been reading online for more then 5 years and I haven't seen any malicious jokes, granted I've been reading novels that I've read every recent chapter for about 2 years the only thing I can remember is some site saying this will be their last post I was so high that I forgot it was April first

 

I remeber binhjamin's pasworded chapter which noone have solved because of its high sensitivity with capital letters. And then, it was revealed that the protected chapters were an empty one.. and the posted chapters later are only a half done one.. meh. He quit being a translator and change to be an online gamer later anyway... so.. double meh.

last year i read 3 fake chapters and one of them was from Ren I just do not want to read those again

Dunno how people fall for the 'translator dropping this novel'. That trick has to be the oldest and most easiest to spot jokes.

Password chapters.....I'll ignore them. Same for weirdly translated chapters.

Fake chapters are funny. I managed to guess that Ren's CD April Fool chapter was a fake.

On the contrary, there was a dude that dish out a fake chapter of tate yuusha no nariagari that was the valentine arc.. it was done pretty well that nobody notices it and it was pretty good.. lol.

 

Lucky you. I was just reading Sayonara Dragon Life last year, and I swear it's one of the day of the year that used up my brain cells, excluding exams(well, at least I can review on exams). To narrate it - translator got this brilliaaaaaaaant ideeeeeaaaa to release a chapter. Gave us this "obvious clues" for us to use as password. In just a day, comment section's been flooded by hundreds of, well comments, to come up with the answer. I never felt so empty in my life at that time.

I once read a really well written fake chapter that ended with an important side character dying... that was really realistic.

 

No. Just no. Imagining some of the characters I like talk that way would give me mental scars, even if I knew it was a joke.
