IIRC, there's a difference between monsters inside dungeons vs. monsters in the wild. I'm guessing, but their gear is probably made from monsters outside dungeons. He doesn't loot stuff in the new world because he's got better materials/equipment, and there's also times he's in a rush.

 

I got to ch-4.9 and it is explained that defeated monsters will last for a period of time before they disintegrate.

 

This came up again in a recent chapter, you cut out the chunk of meat where the stone is, and the body remains until you pry the stone off it.

I've got no problems with Lecan not being able to get at Zoltan's Storage, but why didn't Lecan take Zoltan's armor? Even with the right sleeve cut off, the rest of it is still good. He didn't even check him for any small Box storages.

 

It's probably something similar to "honoring him by leaving it's corpse intact". It's never really explained well but you can think of it like courtesy between fellow descenders and ex party members
