    Have you tried restarting it?
If not have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?
How about putting a blanket over it, it might be having a little cold.

There's probably some Firefox data left over from your OS refresh that's screwing with Firefox. Uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. Hopefully, that will clear out the old data that's left over. You can use the Old Firefox Data to rebuild your user data, like add-on and extension settings.

You can also use the recovery function to tur your computer back to how he was before you installed the new firefox and try to install again.

After reinstalling, it appeared again. But when I did your method it works and didn't appear again even after a pc restart.
    basically what I did.
    >reinstall
    >asked me if I want to refresh my firefox (yes please)
    >imports (this bad boy just automatically imports even though I said I wanted it all in default!)
    >old file folder appears
    >delete it
    >dont yes anymore for a refresh (apparently this refresh guy is actually making the old files!?)
    >restart (a test)

so I've resolved the case. Thank you everyone! And I'm sorry for being such a grandma.
