I don't think the manga is ending soon because the manga arc that was before the current one seems to be from an early part of the novel. There's multiple volumes of material left to adapt.

Bro I hate this bullshit arc now Im sorry but the father is the actual worst Despite knowing the mc is a great guy and knowing thst his adopted daughter loves the mc he seperates them amd ruins their lives because the mcs origins are a mystery (despite the fact he was willing to entertain a political marriage for her that would make her miserable). And the daughter despite loving the mc rejects the mc because she respects her adoptive father too much. Like I fucking know they'll end up together probably and all that but I also know the girl and her father are never going to apologize like they should, theyre never going to admit how wrong they were and feel guilt and that just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. Plus how many months is it gonna be before we see them finally get back together. Honestly I wish this was a revenge story where the mc turns darker and more serious, rising the ranks and taking the fathers position, or marrying that princess who loves him; instead of a romance where the drama causing characters are too easily forgiven. Like the fathers job is to make the girl happy and instead he makes her and the mc permanently miserable to the point of tears. And the girl is supposedly in love with the mc but she breaks his heart because her dad is against it (she even mentions her dad was against her being a knight too yet she went ahead and did that too). The Korean thing is like soap opera drama, the Japanese thing is all romance is misery drama
