Omnifarious FM General Rules: Mechanics and Game Details: The game starts at Wednesday, January 5th 2021, 1 PM EST. Day Phase lasts 48 hours. Night Phase lasts 24 hours. This is a closed rolemadness. Everyone has roles, but it will not be known what other players have. There may or may not be a neutral / third faction in the game. Mafia have Private PMs. They can talk there during both Day and Night Phase. (Discord is also optional.) All faction kills are optional but need to be assigned, i.e. choose someone to do the kill. Votes are Plurality and Majority. In case of a tie, execute random in tie. In the event that nobody has died within the end of two consecutive day phases, a random town will be executed instead. (In other words, if "no exe -> no kill -> no exe", then "random town dies".) Every player is expected to make at least 10 posts every Day Phase. If a person doesn’t meet the required amount of content within the first 24 hours, they will get a warning by getting tagged by the hosts, asking whether they can still play the game. This tag does count as a warning, as per Rule 9. There is a last will mechanic in this game, limited to 1000 characters excluding spaces. In case Majority is reached, players will be granted 30 minutes of Discussion Time which will count towards their Night Phase. Town win condition: Eliminate all mafia, and have at least 1 Town alive. Mafia win condition: Eliminate all town, or ensure that nothing prevents you from doing so. How to vote: Write [x] [player name] or /vote player. Votes inside quotes or spoilers do not count. [No Exe] is a valid option to vote, and will always win when tied.

Hey awesome people! Currently working but wanted to leave some inspiration and some hit points to everyone until tonight! Hopefully we roll well and catch scum!
Before we get serious, I'd like to offer some heartfelt words of advice. Mafia can get intense sometimes, but no matter what happens from this point forward, you just have to keep going. Even if everything looks hopeless and you're sure you will lose, don't give up hope. Don't be discouraged by all the obstacles you will face, instead, let all that you will experience flow in, and let it shape you. All that which will leave you, let it go. Even if that crumbles you, let it all go. Let it evaporate in the flames of time. Don't regret any part of your experience, any decision that you will take, because that's exactly what is needed to make you go farther in the space that you occupy. Sometimes you will be happy with your position and sometimes you won't, but when you find yourself distraught and broken in that state, remind yourself that the game is not over yet. Sometimes when you look back and see that in some parts of the game, things didn't go as planned, know that it isn't the end. It is those few people and those chosen situations that happened to coincide. But all of it will make you stronger. Sometimes things that happen would never make sense, but that's when you know that they are not meant to make sense. You must simply accept them gracefully as part of Zone's plans. That is when you learn to accept, in its absolute fullness. At times the game may look stagnant as if nothing makes sense and looking back, you might like to put up questions. But at the end of the day, you have to keep going - one step at a time - seeping in every breath of air in a single moment, trying to nourish every bit of your WiM. Pain is immensely powerful and it can either ruin you entirely or form you into something beyond your imagination, but that only happens when you surrender to the summit of the pain and let it flow in each atom of your soul. Let your suffering absorb you into its shell, feel it, embrace it and above all cherish it. Not everyone is given the power to assemble a force so pure and so vulnerably strong. And then each time something comes with a face of anger, envy, fear or grief or anything that is disruptive, you walk upon it gently with grace, a smile of calmness. The one that only the ocean finds to reduce is the waves of a turbulent gust. That is the cost you have paid. Rather, that is the reward you have earned.
