And then, because of Chaldea's action (basically, the MC fucked up in this story?), the HGW ground become numerous and caused the prediction to be higher. basically, the magi know about Alaya's role. then they try to interfere with Alaya's function? Although they want to prevent the summoning of Counter Guardian, maybe. Simply put, by the current course of action, if extinction level threat caused by HGW in various places is continued, this will just summon counter guardian to that place and destroy the humanity located there. Other places not used as HGW ground will just survive and flourish.
