Dune Series. Particularly with the son from the second book on. Its basically the nuts and bolts of becoming a god and creating an eternal path for your believers and your detractors. (Sci-fi, space fantasy)

Honor Harrington Series. Female OP protagonist. Martial Artist form a world with higher gravity who commands star ships in space battles. (Space Opera).

Safehold Series. Sentient Android in a medievel society. Main char picks a country and raises their tech level to "free" the world from "oppression." (Medieval with advance tech.)

In Fury Born (another David Weber book.) OP ex special forces becomes posessed by a god and a sentient space ship and is out for revenge. not a series. just 1 book.

Belisarius Series. Medevil Roman Military general with Sentient Future tech AI in his mind. (War with Sci fi elements.)

Anita Blake Series. Necromancer Mary Sue.. First half of series is urban fantasy police pocedural, second half is fantasy porn. (Caution Love Triangle).

Kate Daniels Series. Op female sword fighting blood magic user in a modern setting. Biblically powerful immortal's daughter is kidnapped by immortal's greatest general and trained in the spartan way to kill immortal. (Urban Fantasy.) very good.

Mistborn Series. Girl is trained to kill a god and replace him. One of the most inventive and action packed magic system in modern fantasy.

Codex Alera Series. Medievel Roman Fantasy. Main character's "spiritual root" (lol) is "damaged." He's the only one in the world. everyone else has magic. Main character learns to be a badass without magic, through trickery and strategy. When the inevitable happens (duh). awesome gets turned up to 11.

Wheel of Time Series. Typical fantasy. Boy from small village receives the "call" to fight the evil one. Becomes OP magic swordsman. Can be too descriptive, but the fight scenes have excellent choreography, Very visual.

Ender's Game. 10 year old boy murders billions. One of the greatest sci fi books ever written (Dune too.). IMHO. Boy is trained to be a general. Training is similar too a sport. The Battle Room.

Vorkosigan Saga. Main character with severe physical disablitles mind fucks the galaxy with underhanded tactics.

Daemon Series. Birth of a sentient AI in the 2016. It takes over. Gives it's number one henchmen fantasy powers with current technology. A.I. is kinda both the main character and the villain.

Matador Series. Man invents a fighting style to free his planet. Defeats the army single handedly. Teaches others the technique in order to take on the galaxy.

The Legend of Eli Monpress Series. main character ascends to heaven cause badass escapes from a goddess back to the mortal world cause he doesn't want to be anyone's pet. He decides to be thief cause father issues and travels with the greatest swordsman on a the planet and a demon. OP all around.

Elemental Assassin Series. Urban Fantasy Female Protag. Magical Assassin retires and opens up a BBQ joint in a magical mafia run town. Hi-jinks Ensue.

Fimbulwinter Series. Man Dies and is summoned to another world. Talks to god and gets to decide his own power set. Gets a harem. Sound familiar. Western Japanese Light Novel in Novel form.

Confessions of a D-List Supervillain Series. small time super villian with mechanical suit survives "alien"/parasite takeouver of world cause bad hygiene. (never takes off suit). has to free the heroes from parasite. Builds a really awesome suit, becomes OP. (Really Good).

Sword of Truth Series. He's OP cause OP. Son of Sauron, trying not to turn into Sauron. You either love it or you hate it.

I'm going to stop now, but as you can tell OP protags are kind of my kink. If you need anymore let me know. I left of alot of One shots.

Paladin of Shadows series by John Ringo

You can't get more American than this:
The central hero, Michael Harmon (A.K.A. Mike Jenkins, A.K.A. Ghost), is a self-proclaimed sadist, repressed rapist, former United States Navy Boatswain's Mate 1st Class, and a trainer of US Navy SEALs. After a class, he hides in the bushes to ogle the women on the campus of the University of Georgia. While there, he witnesses a woman being kidnapped. He impulsively follows the kidnapper and rescues several abducted women and earns the gratitude of several nations, a small fortune, and a series of high-level political connections in the process of experiencing a life change. Do I mention that he bed the girls, kill the terrorist (yup he killed Osama bin Laden), and save the world

In the second work, he buys an estate in eastern Europe (the country of Georgia to be specific) that has an entailed ancient warrior tribe, called the Keldera, who bestow on him the honorific "The Kildar" (Warlord, Baron, or similar title). The Keldera aid him in reducing tensions in the Caucasus. Again the book shows a life transition, this time from a sole shooter to a local, politically connected, warlord. Did I forget to mention, being a Kildar means he had "jus prima noctis" rights? So here he bed the girls (after asking their mother consent off course, he is civilized), kill the terrorist and save the world...

IKR, my problem with Dresden is that he is not OP. He's just the luckiest man alive. Though he does get much stronger later.
Pretty much all of Ringo's books have OP protags. Though Paladin is the only one of his series i'm really not interested in.

Unfortunately MTV used this show to advertise their own video app, so currently it is only their app and On-Demand from your cable station.

I have been enjoying it. They are really ramping up the post-ap setting and focusing on making the female characters much more bad ass than the main male compared to the book. Also they are adding scenes so the minor characters that don't follow the MCs have something to do. Also, they have added a few sex scenes (since it is MTV you don't see anything important) which I don't remember (mostly between MC and rover girl and not the elf chick). Basically, if you enjoyed the book and don't mind "creative" changes to the story then you should enjoy this.

If i doesn't have to be Sci Fi or Fantansy. You might want to check out the Hannibal Lector. He's basically the villian protag.

From your Nobelese comparison, i got super high power level, dignity and hidden in plane sight.

Legend of Eli Monpress doesn't have the same diginity, he's shameless, but he's essentially a minor god running around having fun stealing stuff. He's also a hidden badass. he only brings out his minor god powers once a book though, though no one can comprehend the normal magic he uses. Nobody really knows how strong he is, except his closest friends, because of how he acts, so he curbstomps once a book.

Leto Atriedes in the second Dune book in terms of pure raw power. He's pretty dignified too, but he doesn't fight after the second book, because of the price of godhood. Plus, while the series is about him, its a space opera with multiple POVs.

I guess the Matador Series is cloest i think, though its less Xanxia and more wuxia. its more super fast Kung Fu than chi blasts. he is also a hidden badass. He's quite diginified. His runs a hotel while his planet is occupied by an army. while he is single handedly destroying them at night he serves them drinks in the day.

Thanks for the Morcyth Saga recommedation. I've been avoiding it. I think I will finally check it out.

You might want to check out Fimbulwinter (Daniel Black). It's an another world novel mage story. Though he's more of a fighting Magic Artficier. He gets to pick his move set though with a conversation with god before he's sent over.

Lol i said that as a joke because he said he was looking for western novels.
Plus, going by that logic the princess from the first movie is the best she resisted the serum without even knowing she had what it takes to be a jedi, and want the new film just the first one again with an almost 1 to 1 parallel?

I totally misread that dudes post. I though he was complaining about how sad the ending was. I felt the ending was well done. It had a nice twist and all loose ends were tied. Typical Sanderson excellence. He might have stopped after the first book. He might not know it was a trilogy or 2 trilogies(well 3 i guess, next 1 is supposed to be modern day swat magicians).

People really seem to forget how OP Luke was in the first movie. Its complete wish fulfillment. Luke was an audience avatar.
