    I'm new to reading novels online, mostly use novelupdates to read novel, I was wondering what other novel sites there are. I heard about royal roads and a couple others but don't know much about it. Can someone tell me more about royal roads and some other novel reading sites

    NU is mainly a site that provides updates for translated novels from various groups in one place, but it doesn't host novels in actuality. Royalroad is a place where authors can put up their original work, much like wattpad and scribblehub. The main difference comes between the type of works which the sites are oriented to.

    I noticed when you filter out the yaoi novels then the new release list for NU is very small. However, I'm not a fan of BL or female MC romance novels. Not to mention NU allows edited MTL to be on the list so personally I find NU a horrible site for novels now.

    I know it is not NU's fault as it is all about the money and translators will only do work that people are willing to pay for. Heck I see people paying for edited MTL and badly translated novels too as it is out of control.
