otome games are basically dating sims for girls. There's not that much difference except otome games usually chuck in absurdities such as having (usually justified) villainess characters and ikemens who, realistically, must be brain dead because of all of the things they do.

@Wujigege are you going to make a dating sims game/otome game? Ooh it will be interesting if you can choose to play girl or boy, and the characters become the rival character / capture target depending on the gender you choose. (......is there a game like this?)
Yeah, basic simple ones. I will start with novels of Original others that I currently know before contacting Japanese and Chinese authors.It will be my first step in producing Transmedia. I am guessing by Linear you mean Linear path, instead of having multiple routes? I am also looking at RPG Puzzle games

Dating sims : mainly win their heart, there was not much stories, at least compare to otome. You actively chose how to win their heart. You basically win the game if you catch them all. Otome : Eroge for girls, You read the stories, you may have some choice which way the stories would go, that route might get you to win a heart(s) of the male love interests. Your main goal are not winning hearts, that is just the result of it. Of course there might be exception. This is just my understanding any way.
