paperinik new adventures

yesterday while i was browsing at the local flea market i saw this thing laying around
and after reading it (and downloading the rest) i liked it a lot
and i looked some information on it and saw it was publish back in 1996 in Italia
somehow i misted this very good series for more then 20 years
so i asked myself
am i the only one who missed this series or is it really this obscure
do you people (and other things) of seen this before or is this also new for you

 

Is that different from Donald Duck?

 

simple a sci-fi version....not much different

 

yes and no
it is still Donald duck only in a bit futuristic setting
focus on Donald's alter ego the duck avenger
and a bit darker
with alien invasions en time travelers

 

Not truly futuristic the very first part until 2009-2010 the story was always in his native metropolis while fighting the bandits brothers and defending sometimes his Uncle's assets. I read it when I was a kid and it was another face of Donald Duck, different from his unlucky version.

planing to watch that one after i finish watching ducktales (in mine opinion the best Disney series )

I'm not sure if it's the correct name in english of metropolis wher Donald Duck lives. Paperinia is in italian and I thought that it'll be the same in italian. Sorry.

Hmmm actually there were good cartoons on TV when I was in like first grade... not in original language, but my little brother and I watched
Those Donald Scrooge, darkwing, the ninja turtles, chip’n’dale, sailor moon, gooffy that dog.

Why don’t they show those on TV anymore? It’s better than some sponge bob...

 

i also watched most of those while i was young (except sailor moon. they didn't send that oud where i lived)

while there are some good shows now like phineas and ferb or how to train your dragon (there is a tv serie of that and even a netfix serie

 

Read a bit of that when I was younger, but I'm more of a Don Rosa fan when it comes to Donald Duck stories.
