But if we ban threads complaining about QI, and QI bans threads complaining about QI, won't there be no place left for them?
But I like messing around.... Qidian threads are actually giving me energy to reply and keep playing around...
Then how about restrict QI stuff to a single section that say something like "QI stuff (for rants that gets censored by QI)"? Then give people the choice of wanting to open the section or not. Also make it so that you can't farm nuffies in this thread. Then ban QI stuff everywhere else.
While I would like to see an end to the QI threads, would this mean we could get other topics banned too if we spam them enough?, for example asianhobbyist? "cough"
Well at least people don't blame their bad haircut on Asianhobbyist.com lol. People blame Qidian if it rains too much or there is too much sunshine
QI threads give free publicity to QI because of that constant exposure. Publicity means more visits from curious people. Visitors become readers (sometimes). So who benefits most if QI threads are banned? The site that gets the most complaint threads after QI. Asian Hobbyist.
I agree with the notion, but my reasons for doing that are very different. They are more aligned with the post below, And somewhere in the thread you say that people blame Qidian for a little more sunshine or for a bad haircut. I find this offensive and disrespectful. They are not forcing us to pay, that much is true. But if they do wrong, i will say that what they did is wrong. They copy/pasted translations off WuxiaWorld, and the matter about the ownership/rights of those novels is very different from the right of hosting those translations. There is then the ordeal with Gravity TaLes, their false promises through official accounts and through their translators and communication staff. Look, you can choose to ignore all of these. You can say it's business. But you will not term these as minor haircut problems which I am blaming Qidian for. I am just calling them out for what they did, they lied, repeatedly. And I may not be able to do anything about them other than not reading there, I will still come forth and say what they did was not right. That's something I have been taught to do, to be intolerant of something that's wrong. Some people may be blaming Qidian for bringing forth an invetible paywall. Even they are right to blame in their own right. Because these people were purposely led to believe that there would be no paywalls. These people were then cleverly hooked onto novels that were free and were promised to remain free. After that, suddenly there's news about paywall. These people were misled, they were beguiled. And now, they may very well be forced to pay for they were hooked on what they thought was going to remain free. If they had thought that by themselves, they would have no one to blame. But they were led to believe, and that's what they are blaming them for. But for the matter of combing all Qidian posts into one, I agree with it.
I am just adding my opinion. It's simple, really. Just do the ol'e Mega-Merge thread. Combine, the China Reading platform posts into one. I think the mega-merge also tends to deter people from replying about this stuff.
While I am 100% sure Tony-chan has no intention of banning Qidian threads, I do want to say that I absolutely loved this OP~ (especially the part I quoted)
I disagree.I do hate them, but it is not my business, what other see fit to say or do. I just won't click on them...like a yoai novel.
Humans always make promises they cannot keep to get in other people's good graces. It's a part of life. That's why people divorce, families get estranged, etc. How you react to it is very important. I have personally made promises that I could not keep myself. It will make me an hypocrite to expect a higher standard from a corporate entity that is more complicated as it involves many people and many egos. Would it have been better if they apologize? Sure, but life isn't perfect.. I roll with the punches. Cheers!
Clinical narcissism...but cute. Um...nope. We'd likely see a Schwartzchild collapse...it becomes a quantum sized black hole, and the universe deletes both the QI forum, and NUF...for being too silly to exist. Yep, an existential metaphysical crisis... And of course Ai-chan will say something involving tentacle sex, Asriu will meow, and I'll make splendidly nonsensical statements. And Wujigege will post a YouTube video.
Usually its the newcomers and fanatics that create the threads. It'll go away in time when they get tired and mind their own business and problems.
Well, you could also suggest to have their complaints directed to Reddit if their not satisfied to post here on NUF
I do kinda agree but what reason shall you give to just ban qi threads? Coz if you would you would have to ban threads related to other translation groups too including yours as nu and by extension nuf is impartial. Which is a problem as I wont be able to see any translation drama or recieve news about novels picked up/dropped etc And as terrible as they are, you can just not click on them (I know its not the best soln but eh). Moreover some of the better ones amongst them do give news of qi fck ups which I wont be able to recieve otherwise as I dont use there site or forum. And if this suggestion of ban gets approved I would like to ban threads related to yaoi novels then following same reason
