My only interaction with phantasy star series has been one of the psp games. It was okay but like why would I not play monhun over it?

Ah classic rushed and broken releases? Feels bad.

No npc interaction? What are you supposed to do then, clear mobs -> random dialogues -> clear mobs ad infinitum?

Dated as in 2010's dated or 2015's dated?

    Yup

    What year is this again?

At this point I would start looking for a torrent as my net aint downloading that much in one go.

I just checked and it is supposed to be on windows store? And they dont provide such an obvious feature? Steam does it, torrent obviously does it, heck even pirating stuff is divided into 0.5/1 gb independent chunks making stuff like this a non-issue.

As someone who plays both PSO2 and MHW, I have to ask... what made you think this was a dichotomy?

Well, there are NPCs with regular dialogue and quests for you to do and stuff. It's just the story that was sort of torn up.

Well, this is my character in the middle of talking to an NPC:

    It's not bad, really.

I was talking about the psp games, mhfu/ mhp3 were just plain better than PS portable 1/2. Infact I would say mhfu is tied with trails in the sky as my favourite psp game. No idea how PSO2 and MHW compare as you know, I havent played PSO2.

Yes, the launcher/client download is on the Windows Store, but after that you have to download the game itself, like so many other games where you download a launcher first and then the client. So the Windows Store chunk you can pause and resume no problem, but they've got a dated launcher because it is a fairly old game. It's just frustrating that for something they are still running servers for, they couldn't update that particular protocol.
