Why It Should Get Picked Up: It is a story similar to 'Ouke no Monshou'. But it's quite refreshing to read, that the heroine isn't particular scared of the ancient world and not always saying: "I wanna go home!!!" and at a later point, travels back in time by her own choice. Also the male never hurts her like the one in 'Ouke no Monshou'. A huge plus point I think, was the beautiful and stunning art (in this case of the manhwa). Although the story of 'Ouke no Monshou' is really good, this series pales a little bit in front of this one. There is so much color and the ancient egyptian costumes are so fantastic. I really recommend this to anyone who likes historical (particulary egyptian themed) stories.
Description: She is a girl that everyone loves but she cannot speak of the love she has for her brother because her brother already loves someone else. In despair, she gets dragged into Ancient Egypt by a snake shaped bracelet that is engraved with a three thousand year old love oath. There, she meets the Pharoah's heir, a party boy....

I knew it! I knew there must be a novel to the manhwa, thank you for confirming this.
And it would be great if this novel was picked up, there were only two translated chapters to the manhwa but it sounded so promising

I love reading Ouke no Monshou manga. If there's something similar to this or a novel, I can't wait to read it. So is this just a manhua or is it a novel too?

 

I've read the story/manhua and the start and premise was pretty good, but the ending is an open ending, and not a happy ending. Also there's a tinge of incest in there.

In the last chapter, the main love interest fucking dies. And to save him, MC goes back to the modern times and resets history. Since history is reset, the main love interest lives as if he had never even met her and as if the whole book never even happened. Feels like the author pulled a "and it was all a dream..."

Then in the modern times, the MC meets someone who looks like the main love interest. But then it ends like that. Doesn't say if the look-alike remembers MC, or if they get together or what not.

 

That's too bad. I'm not a fan of open ending. OE makes me feel like the ending is incomplete.....leaves me hanging. Thanks for the spoiler.

 

Talk about pointless... My interest (as tiny as it was) just went poof.

 

Well, as far as I know, Ouke no Monshou has a similar ending, although a happier one.

 

I never finished it, so what kind of ending is it? Also do you know where I can read the complete version of Ouke no Monshou? It's good if it is in English, but I don't mind raws either.

The Pharaoh and Carol had a son. The Pharaoh died and Carol went back to the future. The kingdom was ruled by their son.

In the future, turned out, Carol's brother was the reincarnation of the Pharaoh and he wasn't Carol's biological son. He was adopted, so they ended up together.

That was the version that I got from someone in mangafox (iirc, it's been a long time). I'm not sure it was true, bc I thought that Ouke no Monshou is still ongoing even now.

 

Some pointers: The title is Pharaoh's Pampered Imperial Concubine (or just concubine is also okay)
Some more pointers: The second title is Song of Sand and Sea. Not Sand and Song of the Sea... this one really bothered me... 砂与海之歌 -> 砂 = sand, 与 = and/together with, 海 = ocean/sea, 之 = possessive particle, 歌 = song... for anyone interested in the character by character translation.
Also damn this seem so similar to Ouke no Monshou... which I liked, but hated at the same time.... X'D

Oohhhh, I just love stories with an egyptian setting, please pick this up!!! I already loved 'Ouke no Monshou', really long story, but it is worth reading it (bought volume 1 - 20 so far). If the story is really similar then I really, really want to read it! Must check out the manhua version too.
