Why It Should Get Picked Up: It is a lighthearted novel, with a humorous and overpowered main character. I quite liked reading this novel when it was still getting translated over 3 months ago.

You know people say that a lot, but there are tons of novels that are technically Qidian, and they're being translated just fine. Womanizing Mage, Returning from the Immortal World, Legend of the Great Saint. All of those stories were originally published by Qidian, and none of them are being translated by Qidian International. Yet the people who are translated those novels have not been wacked, or sued, they're releasing chapters regularly, yet nothing bad has happened to them. So why do people keep acting like translation something from Qidian is a death sentence?

 

Because of the possibility of all your work feeding others while you starve? or maybe because how annoying Qidian can get? Dunno

It is perhaps, a matter of time.
There used to be an old saying, When the DMCA strikes, Strike all it shalt.

 

Translate at your own risk. Qidian does legally own the source material and it possesses an international hub that has shown that it's willing to get its hands dirty.

 

As long as that novel not well known.. It's fine thought( or not..... They have many 'trash') maybe Tony will create something like NU dark corner....????

 

Qidian will pick up sooner or later. Hopefully sooner

 

Stealing someone's translated the work and putting it on their site while claiming it's all within the contract. Or at least that's what appeared to happen to wuxiaworld. I'm kinda curious as to what happened with the issue. Anyone know the results yet or has it not completed the court issues?

 

While it's true that Qidian hasn't taken any of these novels yet, I'm sure that that Qidian has taken other novels before.
Therefore, the risk that a translator's novel can be taken anytime would surely be a detriment to picking up Qidian novels. What if the translator relied on it as a part time job and Qidian doesn't hire him as a translator?
Most probably, only a person translating as a hobby would pick it up. But the releases would be slow.

 

Hi guys hope someone will pick up this cn, its a really good one , good for laughs too! Too bad its last updates was on march 5 2018... its pretty muh dropped now since its been more or less 5 month since last update. So im hoping someone will pick it up thanks.
