Normaly read novel but I got bored recenly because novel to slow update so anyone know good xianxia movie or similar
how would that work? isn't a large part of xianxia cultivating? can't imagine it without a fuck ton of time skips or the MC being strong from the start, wuxia seems more popular for movies
Kung Fu Hustle - MC cultivate in Traffic Post .. got beaten till Cripple but with Medicinal Drug all his meridian Opened and become OP there is one movie that i dont remember its title where it had Azure and Violet Sword[like in CSG but a sidekick only] , MC need to collect 3 thing to make Ultimate Weapon to fight against final boss[who is sealed but then break free and become something like Bloody Cloud]
Most Xianxia and Wuxia are TV series though. For film, I guess The Monkey King is a good example. Actually I just can't wait for the Live Action of Dynasty Warriors. But it's 2018 so it's still a long time
Before I begin, please excuse my language, but... All xianxias tv series are crap. Crappy visual effects, crappy costumes and crappy time skip, which ruins all the fun of watching. If you have usually watch something like smallville, the flash, or agent of shield... Better don't try to watch xianxia. I'm so sad that the drama adaptation of my favorite story is throughouly ruined Better option is to watch wuxia drama, some of them have very good costume, acting, actors and storyline.
Most cultivation scene are shortened and dramatized with qi flowing out their body for like 5-10 seconds. I saw a good one but I can't remember the name it has the word sword and cloud in it I vaguely remember some scenes. Snowstorm the Mc meets the villain in a warehouse they fight in the storm and the girl dies I think he kills the villain. Or something similar. Fighting over a legendary sword
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is my most favorite Wuxia movie. I greatly recommend it. Though, the sequel isn't good imo.
It's Wind and Cloud , it's one of my fav the fighting scene is one of the best for me ( for that era ) , well it's an old series so don't have your hope high with good CG like dark knight or blue knight Kungfu Hustle , is a good film too , do notice that it's mainly comedy action All film by stephen chow actually is good ,they are all my fav like kungfu hustle or shaolin soccer most of my watched chinese film is usually wuxia one, like chrouching tiger hidden dragon, sevens swords, legend of condor heroes i dont know about xianxia movie, closest one i think journey to the west

I remember that i used to stay awake until 11pm just to watch Wind and Cloud every monday night that was a good serial, with good actors, good storyline, awesome music, but bad costume. The effects are pardonable tho, since it came from way back then. But if we talk about post 2010 era, their CG are not that good. Dramatization of investiture of gods (one of the best of the best chinese novels) is simply horrible. Take a look at it :
