I've starting to read this one and omg I'm freaking out, cause her adoptive family sucks!! they are shit. I hope someone with good heart translate this awesome manhwa

from the intro of the first manhwa chapter, I think the daughter died of that disease that can topple families, and they needed to cover up the death. So them use a body double and raise said double until they can arrange a convenient death that will not draw any attention/investigation/rumors.
Bandits killing her guards then violating and killing her works, on way to an arranged political marriage is a good excuse for them to not be there, and it can be used as an excuse for other actions like building up more personal forces to "hunt down the bandits".

 

What about the guy quarn the guy that bullied Adele and also did she also have any brothers and how did they treat her?

apparently she's an illegitimate child but I don't understand the point in killing her. oh also her servants were terrible to her as well (just like the ones in Death is the Only Ending for the Villainess)

im just surprised she never considered the fact that she could be an illegitimate child like she looks like the younger female copy of her father

She is not an illegitimate child but only a child who was picked up from the street.

She’s actually an illegitimate child of the duke. Her stepmom, the duke’s wife, revealed this info in chapter 1 when she was mocking MC as an illegitimate for being able to marry a grand duke due to her status.

As for the guy who bullied her, that’s the duke's second son and her second half-brother. It hasn’t been revealed why he bullied her. But based off the raws, his character seems to be an absolute @$$. He is shown to torment her for no reason while her older half-brother stands by and watch (my guess is that they know she’s illegitimate).

I can understand why the brothers n step mom hate her but the duke? I mean it’s your daughter whether legitimate or not? If you don’t want any children after then use the f protection ughh! Or at tht time there’s no protection?

Nope, this is a fantasy/historical manhwa so I’m assuming contraceptions of some sort don’t exists. I honestly feel like the wife and the sons’ anger should be directed at the duke. He was the one who played around while he had a family and he was also the one who shamelessly brought Adele to their home as a replacement for their dead daughter.

I quickly noticed that the duke’s character is the typical noble father who’s void of all emotions. His behavior towards her is inexcusable. I’m going to refrain from saying anything bad about the duke because I feel like there might be a misunderstanding. He might not be the one who ordered her assassination (who knows). But damn if he did, I’ll curse him out later.

 

The father is such a dick. If you dont want any illegitimate child, why sleeping with other woman who isnt your wife.

Yes, it’s based off a novel and you can find the link above provided by OP. There’s 191 chapters and 6 side stories so that’s a total of 197 chapters. Plus, it’s still ongoing. Sadly, I don’t think there’s a translation of the novel yet because I searched everywhere and nothing comes up. As of now, only the manhwa is being translated.
