Do you mean Jin? He would show up again when they look for the 6th tombstone. I asked because 2nd ML didnt exist in the novel. (No threat to Hexion) But Im getting a feeling that the manhwa may set Kuarn to be the 2nd ML since its changing his character background

 

I thought Jin was 2nd ML since he liked her from childhood. Does he still like her? Because if he does then he's the most pitiful 2nd ML i know he was only at three chapters in manhwa at most

 

That’s quite shocking that the novel didn’t do the cliche second lead. Reminisce Adonis is practically the only extremely well done story I know without cliche second leads. I do agree that the manhwa seem to be setting up the step brother as second lead. I hope they don’t waste too much precious storytelling time on stupid love triangles. The king needs to be dealt with and the victims of his cruelty cured of that horrid Carlet disease.

 

In the novel, I felt Jin was just viewed Adele as a dear friend. Either that, or he just gave up rather quickly. He never actively tried to separate them. No other character even came close posing a threat o their relationship.

The first night and yeah I don't think Kuarn will be an actual 2nd ML anymore at this point. Outside of some absurdly contrieved nonesense there is no way it would work and he will probably be the usual whitewhashed actually missunderstood guy with a secret crush that will help the leads and the FL makes peace with.

At least I hope so because I prefer that over the author trying to have me buy that Adele would actually ever seriously consider this guy.

It's a pity Adele had to go all Mary-Sue when it came to punishing lightly the Biftas AND then lifting that punishment altogether.

 

Um, about the punishment was rather fine though.
I mean it was a perfect revenge, she was taken off from the street, sold by her friends and ends up as a replacement for a dead person only to die later on in the 1st timeline.
She stripped the Biftas and made them went over the hardships she'd gone through with.

You could apply the same logic to abolishing the need or use for police or prison sentencing.
It wasn't a "grudge". They abused their status and position of authority to do terrible things and many people (not only Adele) suffered as a result. Actions like theirs deserve consequences. Even the "punishment" was given was light given the severity of their crimes. Yet, Adele eventually relented on that.

 

Considering that a lot of the worlds but especially the U.S.'s use of both IS extremely unhealthy...
But that comment could be used as an argument for reform, not as an argument for abolishing, don't draw illogical conclusions to support your weak points.

But if you really believe a society that functions in the form of "forgiving" serious criminal offenses without enforcing any real penal retribution or incentive to deter criminal behavior is sustainable in the long run, then you are very naive like the FL is.

The Biftas were left off easy considering what they did and still Adele had to bail them out of that.
The first thing "reformed" Duchess did when Adele revoked the punishment rather than thank her and keep her head low was to get the gears in motion to "rebuild" the household. What a joke. Mary-Sues never learn.
