    Pokemon Slayers Gen I Mini-Game

Note #1: This game will be mostly played on Discord because it relies on the discord bots called DueUtil and RPBot. I will post raid events on here though.

Note #2: This game is more casual and not supposed to be extremely active. Chat in #lounge if you want to get quests though as quests are only available for those who chat.

Note #3: The Pokemon you will be encountering in this server will be Generation I. Stories, lore, whatever will be different from the original Pokemon series so don't quote on that too much.

Millions of years ago, the first batch of Pokemon arrived in a meteor that caused the advent of the Ice Age. Monsters with strange and destructive abilities emerged from the meteorite’s pockets and wreaked havoc in the lands.

However, the vast coldness eventually killed off the monsters. Some hid underground, some went into a hibernation state, but many died. After the Ice Age, these monsters had continued to exist away from contact with other creatures.

Beasts rose into existence and humans became the top of the food chain. Everything continued to exist according to the normal timeline. But then, two thousand years ago, something happened that veered the Earth’s course off path. This was the turning point that split our two timelines apart.

About two thousand years ago, another meteorite fell from the sky. Many monsters emerged and wars were constantly waged between them and the humans. Three powerful Pokemon led the others against the humans, slowly decreasing their population. They were Articuno the Alcyone, Moltres the Phoenix, and Zapdos the Thunderbird.

As the war waged on, religion became secondary while men focused on science and technology. With better weapons and defenses, humans managed to prevent their immediate extinction. However, as the years went by, the humans were still pushed back to the ends of the Earth.

One day, in humanity’s last stronghold….

    WOOOO! WOOOO! WOOOO!

Blaring sounds erupted as men and women scurried around inside a large building. Screeches and roars could be heard outside followed by booms from explosives and gunshots. Hordes upon hordes of Pokemon attacked the human’s last stronghold. Soldiers defended outside or atop the walls, but it looked like they won’t be able to last long.

Those inside the stronghold were in a war as well…a war against time. A massive portal could be seen fluctuating in the center of the room where scientists and engineers kept it under control. The doors flung open as a high-ranking officer led a group of young men and women towards the portal.

“You are humanity’s last hope!” The general remarked gravely as he stopped a couple of meters away from the portal and looked at the group behind him. “You are all successful test subjects who have undergone the genetic treatment. Each and everyone of you have the possibility to train and become someone great.”

The group of young men and women straightened their backs proudly as they stared unwavering at the general, who nodded with a smile. The general looked back towards an elderly woman who gave him a thumbs up. It was time to go.

The general took a deep sigh and continued. “This portal will lead you two hundred years into the past, in the year 2021 – a few days before the third batch of monsters arrived. That was the day that marked the coming of our destruction. You must stop that from happening! Humanity depends on you for its survival!”

“General Malcom! The golems have smashed apart the walls. Hitmonlees and hitmonchans have charged in and they’re making their way here as we speak!” A soldier barged in to report.

“No time to lose! Hurry into the portal!” General Malcom roared as he grabbed his gun.

While the young men and women rushed into the portal, the doors blasted open as bipedal monsters kicked and punched their way in. People screamed while the nearby security unleashed their weapons. Bullets rained down on the monsters, killing some and wounding others.

The elderly female scientist smashed the red button to self-destruct the portal once the last genetic warrior entered through the portal. She looked on with a smile as a hitmonlee tore her head off with a powerful spinning kick.

    Seconds later….

    BOOM!

An explosion resulting in the formation of a miniature black hole immediately annihilated everything within a five hundred kilometer radius, wiping out every last human on Earth as well as the invading Pokemon army. The black hole ravaged the lands until its demise minutes later. Nothing was left untouched and the Earth soon became a dead planet.

    In the year 2021….

A portal emerged in the wilderness on the outskirts of Hub City. A group of haggard young men and women walked out of the portal with grief staining their expressions. They looked back at the disappearing portal with mixed emotions before turning their attention towards Hub City.

    Your adventure awaits!

    • There are other miscellaneous items available in the shop. Players can have a max of 6 weapons and 1 equipped weapon in their inventory. But you can only use your equipped weapon during battle.
    • Quests have a varying chance of spawning. Some can be as low as 1% chance while others can be as high as 40%.
    • When you get a quest, type d!myquests in #lounge or in #wilderness to view available quests. Notice a number on the upper left corner of each quest. That denotes your quest number. Type d!questinfo (quest number) to view a detailed version of the quest.
    • Type d!acceptquest (quest number) to accept the quest or type d!declinequest (quest number) to decline it. Please do this in #wilderness to prevent cluttering or spamming.
    Registering for Raids:
    • In order to participate in raids, create your character profile in #character-profiles. Type !add-char (Name of Character) and then shift-enter to go to the next line. Paste your modified character template and then press enter. The template is:
      • Name:
        Gender:
HP: (30 * level * (strength/100)) round down or up depending on the decimal value
Weapons/Skills: (whatever weapons and skills you carried and equipped)
Armor: (up to three different items; don't choose three different boots or something like that)
Inventory: (up to six different items)
        Money: $100
    • Money is earned by by winning raids and selling Pokemon parts earned from raids. You can also earn money completing main and side quests as well as gambling in the Underworld. You can earn money through completing bounties as well.
    • Weapons and skills are the things you bought from the #shop. More details about them will be available in the game.
    • Armor adds either value to Strength which in turn adds value to your character's HP or value directly to HP. Some special armor can even add value to attack or accuracy or a combination.
    • Items one can carry include Pokemon parts and consumables. Consumables can be consumed during raids to either heal up, increase attack or accuracy value temporarily, etc.
    Raid Combat Mechanics:
    • Before raiding, please update your character profile as frequent as possible. Information is key to an accurate raid, after all.
    • During raids, determine attack order by rolling a 1d20. Type !roll 1d20. The higher the value, the earlier you start. Enemies' attack order is determined by the raid host.
    • Whether it's a player or an enemy, the HP is determined by the starting HP (varies for enemies but 30 for players) multiplied by their level. Then the result is multiplied by the hundredth value of their strength stat. Round up or down depending on whether the decimal value is less than five or not. So, 1.4 equals 1 whereas 1.5 or 1.6 equals 2.
    • If the weapon or skill used is ranged, divide the player's accuracy by 100. Otherwise, divide the player's attack value by 100. Then, multiply the result by the damage of the weapon or skill. More info on the weapon or skill will be given later on in #item-dex.
    • Depending on the accuracy of your weapon or skill, roll a 1d20. Each value is 5% of accuracy. Rolling a value 1 to ((100 - weapon's/skill's accuracy)/5) gets you a miss. Anything else is a successful hit.
    • After a raid, monetary rewards are given with equal distribution. Players roll for Pokemon parts; highest roll gets the parts.
    • Up to five people can participate in a raid together unless it is a boss raid. Preferably if the party members have average level equal to or less than the raid level.
    • Raids are an uncommon occurrence so don't expect to have raids every day or every other day. Completing raids drive the story significantly. Depending on whether you lose or win, the story could go in a completely new direction.
    Raids come in three categories:
    1. Scheduled Raids (raids that are planned and notified to players ahead of time.)
    2. Responsive Raids (raids that are in response to certain story events.)
    3. Ambush Raids (raids that are unexpected and will draw in whoever is online.)
For Ambush Raids, I or a Receptionist will mention whoever is online for a raid. Regardless of whether they are online or AFK, at least three players will be drawn in for a battle. If the players are AFK, well...count them unlucky.

    Miscellaneous Info:

    • A map of Hub City and surrounding areas will be provided. Later on, when the story progresses, more of the Scribble Continent will be revealed.
    • Main story will be updated once in a while, providing main quests and side quests for players to do.
    • The supermarket provides a few items to sell for raiding purposes. They can also buy back armor and consumables for half-price.
    • The blacksmith allows players to try getting a custom item as envisioned by me.
    • The Hub Trials are rank up trials for players who have reached a certain level and completed a certain number of quests.
    • The Underworld provides two betting options (Big or Small) and (Bet that Value). There is also a trading center that players can trade items with.
    • There's also a Bounties channel that game host can post bounties on players. More info on that in the future.
If anyone is interested, PM me for discord link. Please respect the server rules and don't cheat! Thanks for reading!

sadly, not at the moment. There's not enough content for a story just yet.
