    Yamada emphasized his opposition to piracy sites and his support for the legalization of fan art and fan fiction.

    In addition, Yamada has campaigned about improving the working conditions in the anime industry, disability rights and preserve anime as national treasure. He also advocates the right for Japanese women to retain their original surnames after marriage.

    Without any financial backing or party support, he appeals to otaku interests such as freedom of speech and internet privacy, holding daily “internet door-to-door” speeches in otaku's paradise Akihabara.His family are all ACG fanatics – his daughter, a cosplayer and fujoshi, regularly brings him to Comic-con.

    The whole " retain their original surnames after marriage" thing always confused me. I'm very OCD and so when I see a married couple with different last names, it always makes me cringe. Could care less if the husband takes her last name or vice-versa though.

    Either way, it's cool I guess but, a politician is a politician in the end.

    Unlikely, genital censorship is part of the law that has become an integral part of Japan's legal system now. What he can do however, is give more freedom to producers in what stuff they make and where to sell their works, such as allowing real incest works to be sold in grocery stores and 24 hour marts. Or to work without being pressured by obscure international laws, such as that law that someone in the UN tried to impose to tell Japan to stop producing loli mangas.

    Pros with that : He could get a lot of votes from people normally not voting
    Cons with that : Those people would have to gather up the courage to venture outsides to vote

    It's not really a bad idea, but unless he somehow becomes a minister, he'll need to either join or create a new party to actually have some influence.

    • Legalization of fan art and fan fiction? Hell yes! Wait... this is good, right?
    • Improving the working conditions in the anime industry? This person is a saint... at least on the surface!
    • Disability rights? No comment. I don't know anything about that issue in Japan.
    • Preserve anime as national treasure? Um... that's taking it up a notch. A bit too much, I might say.
    • Advocates the rights for Japanese women...? The fuck? Japan and their domestic issues.
    • Everything else...? We'll see what is all results to.
    We always had uncensored off-brand anime. When did we never? Uncensored anime usually comes with English dubbed, from what I've seen. I may be wrong, but not all English dubbed off-brand anime are uploaded in particular off-brand sites. So I can't be certain about the relationship between uncensored and dubbed.
