So, once again I have a morbid poll! I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to quantify this “no homo” phenomenon for a long time, but here is a scenario that relates homosexuality to a monetary value! You were suddenly hit by Truck-kun and given the opportunity to reincarnate. Whichever your choice, you will be reincarnated back onto Earth 500 years in the future in a random country that is different from your original one (18.2% chance to be born in China, and 17.9% chance in India, from population). You have two options. Option A (default) is to be reborn as the same gender and strictly heterosexual. You will be born to a single mother who has an annual income at 50% below the poverty line. Option B is to be born as the same gender but strictly homosexual but in a wealthier two-parent family. This means that, from birth, you are biologically attracted to people of the same sex. You will feel zero arousal or attraction to people of the opposite sex (eg. can’t fap; won’t get hard; simply uninterested). Since you would be born this way, it is impossible to change your sexuality. Which would you choose? Note: You retain your memories of your past life. 1. At what income would you choose to be born homosexual, if any? 2. Do you think you would be a different person in a significant way if you were born homosexual? If yes, in what ways? 3. For people who have strong aversions towards homosexuality, why do you think this is the case?
Because I don’t see being homosexual as a bad thing, and since if it’s 500 years in the future, presumably our society would be even more tolerant then it is now, I’d rather be born homosexual and have both my parents. Unless they’re terrible parents. In which case, the single mom might be better, if she’s a better parent. Would I be a different person? To some extent, yes, but I don’t think I’d really be bothered by that.
The only issue I have with participating in gay actions is my lack of interest... If I had that interest, than obviously it's no longer a drawback... Pointless poll tbh. I mean you could say that you can be discriminated against, but that depends on locations. Some places it's bad to be hetero in the same way. So backtracking, pointless poll is pointless imho
I feel like your poll this time is a little insensitive. It may not be your goal, but like someone said, it makes you seem kind of homophobic, as your post can be read as you viewing a person being homosexual as a bad thing. May not be your goal (I sincerely doubt it, and hope I'm not wrong here), but that's kind of what it seems like. TLDR: The poll this time lands in dangerous territory my friend.

I mean, if this is the case, and everyone felt the same way as you, then nobody would pick the first option in the poll? Correct? I mean, I feel exactly the same way as you and my response is pretty much the same as @Anra7777’s. But why else would people pick the option that is purely economically disadvantaged if they don’t care about the sexuality?
I will pick being gay if I get to be reincarnated as a girl. I want to be bullied by other rich girls. I want them to be super arrogant and humiliate me.
I don't get homophobia, TBH. I am put off by (the idea of) sexual acts b/w people of same sex and never want to be anything other than the heterosexual that I am. But I don't discriminate against or avoid befriending people bcuz of their sexual orientations. They hv their rights to their bodies and their sexualities is what I believe. Does that make me homophobic? Cuz I feel that an unwillingness to be gender fluid (or more open-minded towards one's own heterosexuality) is often misconstrued as homophobia. So many edits *sigh*

how do you know that humans will accept homosexuality? us humans are known for repeating past mistakes to the point that it could be made into a piano piece that was put on repeat. what if some cult or new religion deems you unholy and exterminate everyone that is unorthodox? lets call this the holy church of light and they want to eliminate that of which they deem unnatural. and they came into being after some major disaster like meteor hit earth and only 30% of the land remains and these ppl took it upon themselves to begin their new world order. what then? No, I'm pretty sure they aren't as well. Just hoping they realise, that the poll itself is in dangerous territory. Judging from their reply, they are aware, and had a reason behind the poll. Therefore, you could say my concerns are invalid (sounds like a more educated way of saying, "Oops, sorry, I was wrong.")
Time for one of my patented answers to these types of polls. As a male, i'd rather be poor. nothing against homosexuals, just retaining previous life memories + being gay would probably cause some mental health issues with the internal conflict. If i was a girl, the answer would be 'I’m female - Homosexual with parents at 1,000,000X above poverty line'.
I am going to be a bit honest here and sorry if this might offend anyone, but seeing how the threads of this morbid one are heading into human extinction lately, I believe being homo in such conditions is going to quicken the human extinction if anything no matter how money is involved and one can only pray that humanity won't die any time soon
Being born poor or being born rich but forced to be gay.. 1. I'd probably choose the gay route.. I'd have to be born within the top 5% of the society where i can basically do whatever i want with money.. 2. Being different than what i am currently... yup, i'd be haugty af, fatter, and lazy.(from being rich aspect not from the gay aspect) Since OP didnt specify that i have to be married or something, i'm fine with one time thing just to get my sperm sample to be used when i needed a child. After all, for biological needs to have children can be solved with the technology of that time(500 years from now) or just hire a willing women to birth my child.
