Recommendations Prettiest Girl doesn't win MC's bowl

After I read some spoiler from Jiang Ye (Nightfall), It seems that the prettiest girl in the world doesn't win MC affection.

So I currently Searching for any Chinese or JP novel that has :
-MC highly recommended from male perspective (If from Female POV pls no cringe)
-Highly suggested that it isn't polygamy (What's the point if he gives more affection towards prettier girl than the average one)

For example that I think describe what I want :
- Jiang Ye
- Coiling Dragon (Delia is his wife from his first planet, and we know she is considered only average beauty) [Not Jade-skin beauties or Femme Fatale]

The one I didn't want
- Against the God
- My Beautiful bla bla bla and the counterpart

... Isn't that pretty much any story that doesn't have a harem ending? I can't really think of any that do end up picking the most beautiful girl out of the harem to be the only waifu. All right, I can think of one, but she also clearly has the best personality and likes the protagonist the most in the series, so it's all right.
