I don't understand why main character enemies when they are higher cultivation level get pride from it when they are fighting him when his lower level. Don't they feel shame from? When mc could jump level shouldn't they be more shameful. Like they should dig a hole and blry themselves. While I do understand fighting in life and death situations or in tournament. But casually that should be shameful.

I'm pretty sure they feel pride since they're on a higher level.

They just like looking down on people.

Not to mention, cultivation levels are also a form of talent and skill since you need to make breakthroughs. Those who can fight others at higher cultivation level generally have a more powerful cultivation technique.

Face Slapping... It's what makes a CN novel go round.:D
Doesn't it feel good when a downtrodden MC struggles to the top and administers so good old fashioned payback?
I do admit I've also used it in my novel The Red Lands:)
