It is known as the elite living are and also the elite commercial district. District 6, nicknamed as the Gold District, is the elite living area. With its artificial river made solely for aesthetic purposes, the Golden District houses the upper caste of the metropolis. The many neighborhoods that are ranging from apartments, townhouses, condominiums, and houses could be found scattered in a very orderly manner, with the inner most of them being the most expensive of them all. District 7, nicknamed as the Diamond District, is the elite commercial and financial district of Voltulin. In there, one could see rows after rows of high-end luxury stores, famous boutiques, pubs, nightclubs, and 5-stars restaurants. But not only for shopping and eating, establishment such as banks, investor buildings, and many kind of miscellaneous business could be seen there. The sight of tall skyscrapers are an everyday sight here in the Diamon district, the district that never sleeps. District 8, nicknamed as the Silver District, is the middle-end living quarters and commercial area. Apartments and small private houses are plenty in here as it is the prime choice for anyone that is trying to move up the ladder of society in Voltulin. Although not as beautiful as the Gold District, the Silver District still has one of the nicer view since it also the place of Voltulin’s biggest park that is known as Urban Park.
ONGOING EVENT AZURE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Azure World Championship is a very prestigious urban flying car race that is held by a committee under the same name, Azure World. The committee itself is owned by two corporate giants, Bishamonten Group and Zela Energy. The championship is a 7 days event that will be held in the Middle City, as it will use the road of the Middle City as the flying car’s race “track”, but the “track” themselves is not on the ground. They are in the shape of a large floating ring that is scattered all over the city. Each of them are numbered and the racers must go through them one by one to reach the finish line. During the event, the whole Middle City will be in a festive mood. At that time, one can see many unique shops and companies that came from all over Neo Earth just to open their own stall in the Middle City. No one will want to miss the yearly event that attracts the whole Neo Earth’s attention. Detail of the event: One can find a variety of unique shop along the street of Middle City, especially in the Silver District. The race will be held every single day and people can view the race from the street since there is some safety net being deployed all over the city to prevent any falling debris in case of an accident. The surveillance in the Middle City is at peak due and the amount of patrolling drones and officers have increased a lot. One can even find some military personnel on the Diamond District to secure the area. Even though surveillance is on peak condition, due to the event being attended by many VIPs, there will be some underworld people loitering around dressed in everyday clothes. (Class-specific condition) Combat Many companies will seek out freelancer combatant to either guard their racer, their VIP or even sabotage their competitors. Medical Many companies will seek the service of freelancer medic to improve their racer’s condition or maybe just stand by as their backup paramedics in case of emergency. Artist Due to the event, the services of artists to make advertising for the many shops and companies will be in high demand. Engineer Many companies will seek the service of freelancer engineer to customize their car or their equipment. They might also hire them to sabotage their competitors. Business The event is a good time for anyone that wants to make a connection or two with the Neo Earth’s many companies. Services Shops will have job offers to any available person to be their clerk or waiter at their stall. Occultist Although most flying cars use a hi-tech engine, there is some company that tries to use the unorthodox energy to power their car. The service of any free occultist is always welcome. PLACE OF INTEREST[Diamond District][Lupforne Art Gallery] - @Nahrenne Lupforne Art Gallery: A large, modern building with gorgeous architecture and an elegant set of emerald and jade inlaid steps leading to the entrance. This building was secretly funded and owned by the Moon Wolf Group, but for all intents and purposes was publicly known to be owned by Dinenko Media Unlimited. [Diamond District][The Black Lagoon] - @Razogul A 5-star restaurant that caters to the wealthy members of high-society. This establishment caters to all who have money, where the staff does not interfere with customers' activities. Michael Valstead ( @Razogul ) has invested a large amount of money into this restaurant, becoming a highly respected shareholder of it. Inside the establishment, is a private section, where each table is separated into its own separate room, to give a more intimate and secure place for both business and leisure. [Diamond District][The Eyeless Corporation] - @Razogul A somewhat medium-sized company that deals in electronics and prosthetics. The company has been largely funded by Michael Valstead ( @Razogul )in which he is an important shareholder and backer. [Diamond District][The Golden Sapphire] - @Nahrenne A lavishly decorated casino owned by the Moon Wolf Group. It caters to all those who have money, but has a VIP section that is reserved for those who are in the upper echelons of high-society. Much of the interior is gold-inlaid and displays many pieces of highly expensive art. Dinenko Media Unlimited has brokered a deal with the Moon Wolf group, whereby DMU promotes the casino with poker and dice events every now and then, with the prizes for getting into the top 3 being greatly desired. [Diamond District][The Lunar Maiden] - @Nahrenne It's an open secret that this fine, high-class establishment is owned by the elusive, yet powerful Moon Wolf Group. A place for the rich and powerful to share some intimate moments with women of high-class and sophistication. The building is made of jade and ivory, with gold inlaid in just the right places. Here and there, subtle, yet suggestive motifs of women and the moon can be spotted within the artwork that is elegantly displayed throughout the establishment. For those who have been valued clients for a year, they receive a VIP pass allowing them to have a bottle of expensive, high-quality champagne with every visit, along with priority in booking an appointment as well as free access to the VIP rooms for a more...intimate time with their hostess of choice. If, however, you would wish to have such a pass without waiting a year, then you would need to pay the cost of a year's worth of visits with the top hostess, along with the price of the VIP room. The top hostess is Serena Symor, the lover of the Moon Wolf Group's Head, and has held this position for 6 years, with none of the other hostesses coming close. As well as serving clients in the building itself, another option is available for clients: escorts. A client may hire an escort for a fixed price per hour of their company. [District 6 - Gold District] - [A Certain Residence] "Miss, must you really leave?" Inquired the girl in a maid attire which has long accompanied me. "I have made up my mind and reached an agreement with my family. I have also registered into the Prometheus Agency, so there is no turning back." I answered as I continued to pack up my rucksack. Although small, the rucksack is filled with a few essentials such as ration lasting a few days, sellable medicine, medicine for self-use, a knife and a gun for self protection, and some other essential items. "At least, allow me and a body guard to accompany you..." Continued the girl. But hearing her words, I shook my head and said as I stood up with the rucksack on my back, "What would be the point of leaving then? I would still be dependent on you and the others." After some thought, I then continued to reassure her, "If I ever find myself in danger, I would not be so stupid to risk my life for no reason. I would definitely return to the family should I find myself incapable, so worry not." As I said those words, I finally left the room and departed from the place which has been my home for twelve years. After taking a final look at it, I finally walked away, departing from the familiar Gold District.
OoC: Hope this works for you @shad12ow [District 6 - Gold District] - [Undisclosed Residence] Laughter could be heard coming from behind a door in a mansion in the Gold District. The time was 2200 hours, the smell of alcohol was thick. "Do you really have to leave?" a voice called out in a playful way behind the door. From the tone one could tell it was an older woman, and they were more than a little tipsy. "Sorry, I have an early morning tomorrow" a different voice called out in a calming tone. From how this voice sounded one could tell it was a younger man who seemed to be quite sober. "Really? that's too bad" the woman voice said as the sound got closer to the door, "I figured we could have more fun together" the voice said suddenly sounding like an animal that had found its prey. "At least take me out to dinner first" the mans voice said with a laugh as the door opened up "With the amount of money I'm giving you, I should be the one saying that" the woman's voice called out as the man left the room and closed the door behind him. As the door closed a maid could be seen standing by it, as if she had been waiting there for him to leave since he arrived. "I'm in your care" the man said as he was blindfolded and guided out of the house 'That damn cougar really cares about protecting her identity' the man thought as he was put into a car. After he was situated the car began to drive. After about 30 minutes or so a gruff mans voice called out from the front of the car "You can take off your blindfold now" Having been given the go ahead the man in the back seat took of his blindfold and squinted his eyes at the sudden city lights filling his sight. "How close are we?" the man asked the driver "About ten minutes out" the driver replied promptly, but did not utter another word 'Always so quiet... boring' the man thought to himself as he looked out the cars window, enjoying the cities vibrance _____ [District 6 - Gold District] - [Victor Young's House] "We're here sir" the driver called out to the man in the back seat "Good, thank you for the lift" the man said politely to the driver and nodded to him as he left the car As the car left, the man pulled out his phone. On the phone already being dialed up was his brother, Adriyel. "I got 400,000 creds, the rest is up to you" the man, Maicer said as the phone picked up.
OoC: Hope this is interesting enough @shad12ow @Exitiumm [District 6 - Gold District] - [Arch Education] Five years prior to present time ____ Maicer and his brother, Adriyel, were walking around campus heading towards their next class, when something caught his eye. A woman was sitting at a cafe simply sipping on a drink he assumed was coffee. However, no one was sitting close to her, in fact it looked like the cafe was cleared out besides her and her two... no three bodyguards that tried to remain hidden even though two of the stuck out like a sore thumb. 'This might be our cash cow' Maicer thought to himself as he stopped walking and sat at a bench to observe the woman. Adriyel kept walking not paying enough attention to notice his brother that was no longer with him. Maicer cares deeply for his family, and as such when his brother came to him with the idea of making a business that would give the Big 10 a run for their money, he supported him whole-heartedly instead of calling him crazy. However, he wasn't an idiot. He knew that they were going to need more money than they've ever seen to even get started, so he came up with a plan... 'I'll get this woman to buy me' He decided to become a gigolo on the side while helping his brother support his aspiration 'I suppose the straight forward approach will work' Maicer thought as he got off the bench and started walking toward her. The bodyguards weren't paying attention as they never expected someone to approach her. He passed the disguised guard that was sitting on the bench opposite of him "reading" a book. He passed the other two guards that were standing at the front and back entrance to the cafe as he went to the open air section where she was sitting. "Is this seat taken?" he asked as he pulled out one of the chairs. At this time the guards realized what was happening and the two standing near the entrances rushed him, grabbing both of his arms and holding him up in the air. The disguised guard ran up and made it quite apparent he was carrying "One move and you're dead" the disguised guard said glaring at Maicer, looking him in the eyes. 'He's killed before... good' Maicer thought to himself with a small smile while he in turn glared into the guards eyes, with a gaze so cold the guard thought his souls might freeze "At ease gentlemen" the woman spoke up as she gestured for the guards to put Maicer down, and for the disguised one to holster his weapon. "My, your quite the cute one aren't you?" the woman said as she took of her sunglasses, revealing her face. She was an aged beauty that one would only think was aged because of the one or two wrinkles on her face. Her hair was white in color which matched with her blue eyes that would remind someone of a calm lake. However, looking into those eyes Maicer saw something else... a raging storm that could hardly be contained... "You know, I was just about to say the same thing about you" Maicer said with a small smile, but his eyes revealed it to her. This was not another herbivore, but another predator... The woman licked her lips slightly in excitement. "I might have a job for you if you are interested" as the woman said this a look of understanding flew between the two of them. She was interested in which of them would be eaten first... and she wasn't looking to lose. This was the start of the relationship between Maicer and the woman who would become know to him as Madam la Strange, or Lulu as she wanted him to called her. Everyday for five years he visited her and engaged in recreational activities between 2000 hours and 0000 hours. Every once in awhile her friends would visit too and Maicer would earn even more credits for his extra work load. By the end of the five year mark Maicer had earned 400,400 credits as he never spent any of it, wanting to help his brother with his goal as much as he possibly could. Unfortunately Maicers lucrative business wouldn't last much longer... ____ [District 6 - Gold District] - [Victor Young's House] Present Time "I've finished my five year contract, so I doubt I'm getting any more creds on my end" Maicer told Adriyel over the phone "What's the next play?" he asked walking up the stairs to their old academy mates house, whose letting them stay with him for now.
[District 7] [Outside of a Bank] Elias was still nervous as he walked out of the bank after making his deposit. It was no wonder, as he stood out like oil in a water-color with his shabby appearance. Thankfully, the Bankers were too proffesional to say anything. Elias pulled out his new bank card and looked at it. He had deposited 3,400 credits into the bank, keeping the remainder on himself. He wanted to search for art supplies while he was here though the cost would pain his heart. But first Elias headed across the street, pulling out a dingy sketchbook from his coat with a worn pencil, and began to sketch the various advertisements and things that caught his interest. Elias never went to school, he taught himself everything through the lens of observation and art, which is also how he learned how to read. He would copy what he saw and learn from it. Elias carefully reproduced the scene around him in his sketchbook, losing himself in his work. @Exitiumm
[District 8 - Silver District] - [Urban Park] A man could be seen laying down relaxedly under a tree as he seemed deep in thought a smile could be seen creeping up his face as he reached his hand into his pocket and pulled out a phone. "Maicer, my dear brother. We've reached the half-way mark for our goal, soon we won't have to worry anymore." A sweet voice could be heard coming out of the mans mouth as he spoke carefully, "Your five year contract... Truly a shame but I suppose it's to be expected." "The next play? Yes, it is about time we began our next play. Brother, do you remember what I told you before we left Arch Education? Begin with that project. I'll be returning to our dear friend Victor's house in a bit, I expect to see you there to discuss details later." The man called Adriyel said as he hung up the phone and stood up lazily while stretching, "Time to begin my part in this symphony." After stretching for a while Adriyel let out a yawn and began to walk outside of the beautiful park that seemed to have couples flock to it due to its natural beauty, soon he left the park and entered the bustling city that seemed to be a paradise of lights, 'This place is truly beautiful, and it shall become mine eventually.' While walking towards the exit to the Diamond District there could be seen many scenarios, host clubs trying to attract lonely young women to enter, men in the alleyways shadily doing business and hastily running away when noticed, the artifical reality boards on the sides of buildings advertising a new virtual reality game. "A beautiful city that is always changing, perhaps this is what those cities that spanned across the world looked like before the Global War?" As Adriyel continued to walk he mumbled something to himself before he eventually reached the gate seperating the Silver and the Diamond Districts, a place many people wished they had a chance to pass through but few can say they have. As he walked up to the scanner requiring his ID, he grabbed the small object inside of his pockets and swiped it over the scanner paying the toll of 15 credits to enter and went inside. ___ [District 7 - Diamond District] - [Commercial Area] "Haven't been here in what? 6 hours?" A chuckle escaped from Adriyel's lips as he looked at the area that seemed to be prosperous with shops on every corner showing off the latest luxury goods to those with free wealth on their hands to throw around, as well as some lesser-quality products aimed towards those people entering the Diamond District from the Silver District. "Hello, sir! Would you be interested in a new flying car?" A man walked up to Adriyel with a generous smile as he began his sales pitch and began his rant on how great it is even though it is an old model, "I'm not currently looking for a flying car, thank you." Adriyel replied with a smile towards the man who continued to insist. "Sir, are you sure? It's only for the price of 35,000Credits!" Adriyel turned around annoyed as he looked menacingly at the man hounding him, "I believe I said that I'm. Not. Currently. Looking. For. A. Flying. Car." Enunciating every single word he looked at the man that seemed startled and began to back up, before turning back around and walking towards the nearest bank. "Who's that? Doesn't seem like someone from the Gold or Silver District, someone from the lower districts? And he's drawing something, how interesting." Adriyel walked up to the young, thin looking man curious about him.
[Diamond District] [Commercial Area Bank] Elias was just finishing the final touches on his sketch when he noticed a well dressed youth who looked a bit older than him walking over with a dragon tatto on his arm. Elias stiffened quickly putting away his sketchpad and pencil, making a move to leave the area in case the young man took an affornt to his being here.
[District 7 - Diamond District] - [Commercial Area Bank] Noticing the youths anxious movements a smile appeared on his face as he continued to walk over in a confident manner, leaving the illusion of no room for the thin youth to escape to, "Hey, I don't mean any harm. You just interest me is all." The smile on Adriyel's lips continued to linger as he told the youth his motives.
[Diamond District] [Commercial Area Bank] Elias didn't lose his guarded pose. Intrest wasn't always a good thing, but he had to be polite. "And what were you interested in sir?" He asked, looking at the youth with hard eyes, only ones who were raised in the depths of Paradise would have.
"Not bad, basic etiquette." Adriyel exclaimed in pseudo-admiration as he looked at the youth with an even more intrigued gaze, "I was interested why a youth from the lower districts would be in the Diamond District." Adriyel completely disregarded the youths guarded pose as he stared back into the youths eyes as the grin on his face continued to grow.
[Diamond District] [Commercial Area Bank] "It's not like it's not allowed sir. Anyone who has the money may come here. Now may I go?" Elias kept eye-contact.
"It's indeed allowed, but it's nonetheless interesting. Before you go, I noticed you were drawing something? May I see it?" Adriyel's grin seemed to lower but still lingered on his lips as he let out a chuckle to ease tensions.
[Diamond District] [Commercial Area Bank] Elias didn't want to show this man. His art was life. There was even some quick work-up aides to help him make certain forgeries in his sketch-book, reminders of certain details. But he couldn't deny someone who so casually strolled the Diamond District. He opened his sketchbook to his most recent drawing of the surrounding street and held it out for the youth to see. "Here. If you like it, I can always make you a sketch for a couple of credits." Elias tried to play it off as if he didn't care.
Adriyel carefully held the sketchbook as he began to observe the sketches inside, "Not bad, not bad." A short exclamation came from the man who shut the sketchbook delicately and handed it back to the tall youth, with the same smile on his face, "Are you afraid of me?"
[Diamond District] [Commercial Area Bank] "No." Elias took his sketchbook back calmly and put it away. "Now may I go?" It looked like the youth didn't notice anything suspicious so Elias was relieved. He was also glad he hadn't made a remark about his unatural eyes which were the cause of prejudice for some. Now if he could just get him to let him leave peacefully without any problems...
"Then why're you so cautious? I'm not trying to hurt you." A sigh came from Adriyel as he looked at the youth, "Fine, you can go. I'd wish for a sketch though if you have time, I'm willing to pay quite a few credits. If you don't wish to, that's understandable. The name is Adriyel, whether you remember it or discard it is up to you."
[Diamond District] [Commercial Area Bank] Elias paused in his hurry to escape the danger this young man posed. Money was a magic word, he always needed more of it if he was to accomplish his dream. "No I have the time to sketch if you have the money." Elias stone face softened as he put on his best professional smile. "What would you like me to draw Mr. Adriyel." Elias opened up his sketch-book. "A personal sketch? or something different?"
"A personal sketch huh? Yes, that would be nice. But this isn't exactly the best place for a sketch is it?" Adriyel looked at the youth that seemed weak to money, "Look, I currently reside in the Gold District, would you be willing to come with me there to create the sketch? I'll be willing to pay more if that's required."
[Diamond District] [Commercial Area Bank] The Gold district! This guy represented more of a danger than Elias thought. Did he notice he was a Muse? Was he trying to kidnap him? No amount of money was worth becoming a plaything like his mother! But he had to be careful, he might just be offering a good job. I have to let him down gently. "I'm afraid I couldn't go with you to the Gold district Mr. Adriyel it is too far out of the way and I am... Well, if you have a public place in mind, something with a good vista. I think I could capture your image perfectly." Elias held his quiet smile.
