"Anyways" is not a real word. It's supposed to be "anyway". I realize that "anyways" is the informal version of it, but please use the word and its variation properly. It kinda makes me cringe when I read a novel/webnovel and I see a king formally talking with "anyways...."

Sorry for this grammar nazi post and also thank you for all your hard work!

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/lets-talk-about-anyways

It not being a word is nothing more than a myth.

If you are gonna grammar nazi, do it right!

    Anyways, I'm out!

I'm kinda confused. Why're you including translators in the mix. They've got a rough enough job already.

Meh, it's commonly used and part of every day vernacular, it's fine. Anyways, who even cares

I can see why you don't like Royals using the word, but it's not like all Royals in novels/manga etc are THOSE types, so it's just a matter of tone in the original language, something which I assume you wouldn't know.

I don't use the word myself, and it kind of annoys me sometimes when I see it written (in some contexts where it just breaks the entire feel of the character - like a super serious person or a teacher using it), but I do understand that it is in common use, so I usually just ignore it.

If you use a word often enough, it will eventually become a real word.

    Like the verb, google.

Hey OP, words are just means of conveying meaning. If the meaning has been understood then it was a word.

Anyways, as long as most of the readers understand the sentence, then its fine. Innit?

    Peace out.

Since we know that translations aren't professional anyway, why don't translators just put everything in informal, colloquial slang?

    Here are some suggestions:

    BeforeAfter
    AnywayAnyways or Anyhow
    All rightAlright
    HeyYo
    SureFo shizzle ma dude

Actually, you never know if he's simply referring to the Nazi in German in a neutral manner. @@

Die Nazi (German) => The Nazi (English)

See? See? No one? Alright, I'll be going back to the lame corner now...

Lol I'm glad people actually took a minute to even look into this because all you really need to do is "google" it. Now that you know the difference, you can never un-know muahahahaha.

Sorry again translators! I appreciate all of your hard efforts!
