So I talked mad trash about Tite Kubo and his manga, Bleach, in the past. But today I opened up YouTube and saw this video. Really humanize the mangaka as a person again, and it explains a lot of the reasons why things went down the way they did. After watching it, I had to throw some respect on this man's name. *The later chapters still suck tho. My preference doesn't change. Just my view of the mangaka, the magna's quality, and why the events unfolded the way they did. Doubt Kubo had it in him to continue anymore anyway.
Hmm what? I am not a fan of watching vids. Anyone can summarize it for me? Btw, my pending response: HAHAHAHA. No.
I have to finish reading Bleach but personal, from a spoiler, I'm personally happy with the coupling. P.S. You can edit the title. You have to click on the small "edit thread" like thingy.
I think this is a better video: P.S. Didn't watch it. Don't like that guy, his narration style, voice, face, etc.
@HesheFell you can edit the title if you want. Just go to Thread Tools, which she be next to the "watch thread" thing at the top right, a bit below the tags.
Edit: Basically, Kubo got sick and his health was going down and getting worse over time. Because of the pressure, he was drifting into depression as well. This started around the Fullbringer Arc. You know, the one everyone benchmarks as his going down period. Then the heavy criticism about quality made it worse. The man never mentioned or complained openly tho. He also twitted that he was looking for this patient/fan on who died. This person wrote a letter that really touched him during his darkest times and kept him going. But the person asked that their fan letter be mailed after he died, since his illness was terminal. The letter had no name or address. He was reaching out to people in Japan to find this person. The TL was really touched by the whole thing and reposted Kubo's Twitter post in English. I recommend watching the video to get the full story or reading the translation directly.
Even if Bleach is no longer popular, why do you have to sell the rights of the logo to the sex industry. He doesn't respect his own work, I've got no respect for him too.
For the lazy fucks: Tite Kubo said when he reached the 10th aniversary of Bleach (somewhere during the Fullbringer arc and he said that was around the middle of the story he wanted to write) his health began deteriorating. His doctor said it was just a cold, but from the colds he would get better after a day of resting. From this though, he would be on bed for a week after a double release of JUMP. He felt really miserable for not being able to be up to the standards of a mangaka, which to him are to deliver quality manga in a set amount of time. He also tells he read and kept his fan letters and one day he got one from a child who told him he had an incurable illness and wanted to die, but was told to please live the rest of his time left: 18 months. He got into manga and found Bleach and that was the first time since he got into the hospital where he waited for tomorrow to come so that he could read the next chapter of Bleach. Tite Kubo says that the letter was meant to be sent after the death of the boy and for his last message to Tite Kubo the child told him to write Bleach the way he wanted until the end. This made him push forward and finish the manga. It doesn't go into what Tite Kubo had which kind of sucks, but oh well. At least people know why the quality dropped. Due to health problems he cut the latter half of the manga into well, half of what he wanted to do in the beginning. And for the guy that posted last, according to the guy who made the video someone in the porn industry was impersonating Tite Kubo or something. According to him Tite Kubo had nothing to do with it, but I didn't even know something like that happen so no idea. Also, due to that thing he went off twitter until some time ago where he came back to it and posted his story.
THANK YOU And if people had watched, they would know these things before replying. Gosh. Is NU really populated by book readers?
I feel a bit bad , i've been throwing shit to Bleach and Kubo for years (maybe 5 years or more) , but in my defence i kinda respect the man but hated the manga , it's like Hiro Mashima ; i think Fairy Tail is shit ,but he's still the most hardworking mangaka i know. And it's really incredible how a work can inspire a lit' kid to keep on living , regardless of my opinion or the opinion of anyone else , it's something Tite Kubo should feel proud about. Putting aside the kid and the strong conviction and responsibility to meet the quota each week , couldn't he just do the same as Miura or Togashi ? that deliver a few chapters each year? Bleach has or had a strong fanbase after all.

I don't care how bad bleach deteriorated... it was my first ever manga and will always have a soft spot in my heart (didn't stop me from dissing the chapters almost every week though )
While I can somewhat sympathize with him I still think he screwed up with the story well before that point.
