    So the Qidian app had a new update. After updating, the only new thing I noticed are ads. This is going to be annoying.

    Chill guys. Qidian need to put those ads in because they have to generate 20 years of profit, around 90mil USD. Later on, the paywall will be up.

    But yeah, nothing really suprising here. Initial push for the Ad, now monetization, that's just how it goes for Qidian. :cookie:

    Ads is one thing...But all the permission the Qidian app requires is ridiculous. Why does it need your contact info, have access to your phone, photos, all this stuff...for a reading app. I just flat out say screw you I'm not dealing with this bs app...

    Wasn't it already a red flag when the app asked for unnecessary permissions? Ex. Access to file manager on your phone, gallery, and even downloaded images to your phone.
