2 people speak for QI are: a translator steal the translation, an translation group leader who allow the stealling

remember translator works as contractor under QI, QI hold no responsible for translator's misbehavior

in fact, QI just need to abort the contract, keep their work, don't pay anything, and even sue the translator for loses

There IS an employee involved,and you know that,they don't allow stealing,they just agreed to give up the novel on the premise that it'll be translated anew. And there's a big differences between this and that. QI loves to blame everyone but themselves + everyone knows that they admitted stealing. They'll still have to pay for terminating the contract,just so you know. And it's quite a large sum that is usually discussed in the beginning of the contract(for both sides). They also can't sue the translators because they've paid them for translation

Put it this way, they are a company that own a recipe but the food cooked by the chef is own by the chef

 

The translated chapters didn't belong to them. It became a different product which belongs to the original translator

 

If chapters were really posted without permission, well, supporting usage of unauthorized material doesn't sound very neutral to me.

You misunderstood, mate. NU is neutral and by neutral, it mean NU responsible for listing the novel and link to the chapters. NU don't have the authority or obligation to sort out issues between translators or authors. NU is just a site that gather those link like google (except only for novels, why do you think pirate game sites still pop up in google search even though it is illegal?)

So, why aggregator sites are not listed on NU, for example? As you said, NU should not have authority or obligation to sort out issues between parties.

 

Translators register on NUF,and they post only one link for the chapter,so as to lessen our problems

 

That is quite simple, my good lad! Those aggregator sites didn't register (I think they are not that thick-skinned enough to face mass protest from the nuffies here) on NU! just check in your profile setting, they have the option called " add translation" or release or sth. :v

People seem to have a misunderstanding here, NU doesn't allow/disallow releases by site, they do it by chapter.

If a release does not meet NU's criteria, it is not listed on the site. It's that simple.
