The MIT license basically only attributes the creator and says the creator claims copyright but relinquishes most rights. You also need to include the license with the software. I'd say remove the license and keep the public domain part. It's not like anyone's going to sue anyone else over the code, anyway.

Also worth noting is that he just slapped together two scripts that other people wrote... so technically its their copyright not his

Only shadofx added the MIT license, so it's safe to assume they want acknowledgement for their contribution. I've replaced the original public domain and attribution notice to reflect this. Like @Jeebus said: I doubt it matters, but if shadofx wants acknowledgement that's a fair request and one we should respect.

Did qidian actually updated the script again?! It doesn't seem to work and when I press watch ads it told me to login ugh.

Looks like QI has decided to require everyone to log in before displaying the ad. The script still works after you log in.

Not sure if this is a new webnovel.com policy or if someone made a mistake while updating the site. In any event, you now have to log in before you can read ad-blocked chapters.

It's possible there was some reused code from premium chapters, but it's more likely that this is just another part of QI's attempt to get people onto their platform. If you now login to watch ads you have access to Spirit Stones which makes you spend them, and thus hook more people onto using them.

The script for mobile doesnt work. Theres an error when I copied the script raw when using tamper monkey.

Yep I tried to see if.it would work on mobile with the add-on on firefox but the chapter wont blurr like how it works in browser.
