Discussion Qidian (Again) Terms of Serviçe

So I spent some months without reading web novels, then yesterday I decided to check on Webnovel don't ask me why.
Anyway I saw there was a atualization on the terms of serviçe. Including one regarding the licence you grant to web novel. :

"6.2Limited License Grant to Webnovel. By posting or publishing User Content, you grant Webnovel a worldwide and non-exclusive right and license (with the right to sublicense to Webnovel affiliates solely in connection with their provision of the Services) to host, store, transfer, display, perform, reproduce, transmit, broadcast, modify (which is made solely for the purpose of formatting for display), and distribute your User Content, in whole or in part, in any media formats only through our Services."

Do you guys think they learnt their lession ? (Sorry for the bad english >-<)

Learnt their lesson? Not even close, Qidian have been doing stuff like that for years.

Some people will be more than willing to swallow those terms to get more publicity for their work..
Do they really get more doing that?
Is there really anyone who search and enthusiasticly read fanfics and such from qidian?

No, I'ts because the older Qidian terms of service were similar to reddit. Now they changed this part. I think they got to much hate and decided to change.

 

Ahh yes, a throwaway account getting some dramas going.

That's a pretty standard clause. Talent's shows have similar clauses.
