What about the advertisement and other money gained from readers using your website,how are the profits spread since wuxiaworld is basically losing money since your also hosting their novels

 

honestly WW was my 1st translation site i ever checked out and coiling dragon was my 1st read that was translated sad to see it get hosted on another site after all the hard work the translator has done. hope it was agreed by both parties and not qidian sniping others hard work >_>

@Qidian most likely the question that all those who write here should ask as it concerns wuxiaworlds interests:

Concerning the rehosting of novels previously translated novels by wuxiaworld, does wuxiaworld get some kind of share of the generated ad revenue Or other kind of revenue they might be missing out on due to the rehosting?

Or is this completly without revenue for wuxiaworld

 

Many people complain of the poor ad quality and the mobile data usage, this is also not going to "Steal" readers from Wuxiaworld readers will still be able to read at Wuxiaworld it will open up the audience who currently reads at QI and give them the ability to read at our own website and enjoy many new novels coming in from Wuxiaworld.

Okay, I have two questions. Feel free to not answers them if you think that they are... I don't know how to say it, but something like inappropriate?

Since you (qidian) will be hosting the novels, and not changing translators, will they by paid by chapter too? (Just saying, I am not sure about how you contract with WW worked, if you would pay for the whole novel or for the translated chapters)

There should be tens of thousands (way of speaking) of novels to be translated, so why bother with twenty? Legally speaking, if you made a contract you should follow it, but since I don't know anything about such a contract, I will not bother with it. What I mean is, do you think that is the best for the novel community a war between WW and Qidian (and just for 20 novels)? I can't believe in the statement "best for the community" because of that.

 

Qidian currently holds the exclusive rights to post the translated works done by Wuxiaworld and the rights to hand them out, so the "exclusive" rights in this case actually belong to Qidian

 

Many people are complaining about "you". Don't think you're going to do anything about that though...

 

Okay guys, I know you're outraged and all. But chill. Instead of flaming, why not take the time to ask questions that you wish to address. They are giving us a chance. So stop being whiney and make use of this chance.

One question though - how much will the pay wall be? If it's a monthly subscription I'm going to get it. If it's per chapter, that might be an issue as I can't afford that (if it's like a quarter or so, I still think that'd be a waste, since the process of buying each chapter can be rather tedious.)
