    I am a translator that translated a novel from Qidian without their express permission. I would like to know if novel updates is able to post that chapter or why it will not be.

    Novel updates will post all novels as long as they are asian. It's not like NU is hosting the novels, just linking to it.

    The only restriction is if someone else is already actively translating that novel, but even then if you release enough chapters you will be listed.

    You can but Qidian can ask you to take down the novel or translate for them.
