    I'd prefer it far more if they actually did anything to address the issue. It's the way that they're trying to brush off the reader complaints with things like "For readers, in addition to the best reading experience plus the free novels that we’ve been serving them for so long, they can also expect... [a bunch of stories I've neither heard of nor care about]"

    Do you have authorization to host translation works of those 20 stories?

    "As we all know that Qidian is the most popular platform of original online literature" i wouldn't call them the most popular... maybe most forceful,
    hated, or even the one to have the worst announcements.. yeah sure suit yourselves...

    So they have indirectly tell that after some time they will implement paywall.seems like all hate received have influenced and make them anxious.
    I don't think they have clarified the issue just showboating that we are china's top novel company and blah blah..

    TL;DR
    QI     has gone into damage control mode. First off,they are addressing the issues with TL not being treated properly. QI intends to let the TL set up patreon accounts,and they also intend to give more benefits including but not limited to: Meet and Greets with fans, and becoming popular.
    QI wants to expand into other languages, and it seems to be interested in getting Amazon to release physical books. They also list out a bunch of new novels they want to get.
    Lastly,they say that WW was never given legal rights to translate any novel other than the 20 novels in the agreement,matching with Ren's claim of a verbal agreement. So,QI claims that WW was just acting pretentiously.Also,there was some bs about TL getting their works hosted in their own sites..Not gonna happen. Too many pirate threats.And yes. If there really was a verbal agreement,then WW was not given face.

    Maybe it's because we want the truth or for them to actually address the issue and not just a statement that tries to shift the blame and our attention around.

    I don't know, I understand all the hate they get from that perspective but I don't think people recognize that Qidian is a business, and the goal of a business is to profit. I mean yea, they may do some things that upsets the community but regardless of what they say the goal of a business isn't to please the community but to milk it of its money
