It's the same, Quanzhi Fashi. I know because it came up on youtube recommendations while I was checking out The King's Avatar anime a week or two ago. Spoiler: here it is
Its not bad art per se. Its just like a old anime is the way to think about it. Though the forced comedy in inappropriate places is bad.
Someone picks this up, but starts from scratch? How boring. What's the point? Also, its second anime starts in three months, so Qidian will probably pick it up soon.
Looked like he was dropping it again because he didn't know it was already translated. How I don't know.
Meh. It had a fascinating premise of current and historical reflections of science and magic between two worlds (eg: Thomas Edison was a 'light' mage in the magic world), but its implementation and implications were so corrupted, disregarded, or ignored by the authors plotlines by the time the previous translator dropped it that I can't get interested in seeing this picked up. Why bother invoking parallel worldbuilding if you're just going to pi33 on it?
Bad idea to pick up a novel that already has bad reviews, the reviews are not because the translation was bad, which it was, but because of the story itself. But everyone has their own likes and dislikes, if the translator likes it and wants to share, thats great. I just personally didnt like it.
Every novel has bad reviews, you can leave that part out. I'm personally happy to see this novel back, I hadn't gotten any reason to drop it in what was translated.
Like I said, everyone has their likes, I did try it and didn-t like it. Lucky you having a novel you like being picked up though XD
It wasn't luck this got picked up. This has a anime. Has a good OP and ED that's worth watching at least. And main reason it was picked up is because its second anime season starts this month.
