I know it might be both stupid or not but my friend is kinda desperate.... Here's the situation: Well last 2016 he lost a relative yah can consider his second mother and that deceased person left some inheritance for him when he reach 18 and now that he hit 18 3 months ago he wanted to get it but he had one slightly idiotic problem....he forgot what establishment/bank,etc. was the money put.... and now that his mother seems to have pangs of pain in the chest he wants to get the money so he can check her up in a hospital.... He is kinda asking me who (is fkin social retarded) to question whom I know and first thing I came up is here..... so can someone help me....please..
don't you usually have some else a guardian or representive that looks after the account for you, until you are granted access to it? you could try asking them.
If it's inheritance isn't the Lawyer supposed to know the detail? I mean the lawyer of his deceased relative?
Find the documents that were given to them telling them that they had an inheritance. Unless they're dumb enough to get rid of the documentation that had the information on it. In which case they're really undeserving of inheriting anything since they got rid of the documents that could lead them to free money.
Go "bank-hopping". Seriously, go talk to her relatives, see if there is any papers she might have left, or straight go to every bank and ask them. Maybe even her lawyer. Someone knows where that money is.
welp. . . . documents and also bank book, atm, or debit card, also why not check the banks around the area?
Better find the legal document that says he inherited something from that dead relative. If its missing, then goodbye inheritance. Even if he knows which bank he will take it from he still needs documentation/proof that he inherited something.
Documents, proof and inheritance concerning identification. Honestly i kinda feel bad for the guy and the inheritance, Cause base on how he do things i kinda feel that he was the type who was easily swindled and careless. i just hope his inheritance won't just be blown by the wind if he ever claim it.. Edits: Also ask some trust worthy person in his rl who he can trust to help him and don't let him mindlessly look for random person specially when con-artist was kinda trendy and viral in ph.. lol
If the inheritance procedure uses a lawyer, go ask that lawyer. If it's just "my second mother tell me she leave some money in the bank for me and the details are in a piece of paper which I lost", then it's his own stupid fault. Nobody can help him since that second mother isn't actually his guardian. Even if he eventually found out that particular bank, the bank will not release their customer's account details (if they're trustworthy) without actual court order. Therefore, he won't be able to confirm the existence of the bank account without going to court, and the court likely won't bother. Even if he has the account details, he still won't be able to withdraw the money without an actual black and white. The bank won't just release the contents of someone's account just based on someone's say so, even if that someone is powerful politician. So in other words, unless the inheritance was handled through a law firm, your friend is screwed. He only has himself to blame. However, do try asking around his relatives or even ask his mom, maybe someone knows something. Still unlikely to get the money unless someone has the actual bank card.
.... no document regarding that inheritance. then dont even bother since you will never get anything without the proof. @Ai chan said it well
then~ keep looking. . . or say bye bye to it, and look for another source of help for your friends problems,
