Sorry, I’ve only managed as a team leader/ manager for maybe around 40 people. But if that’s enough I’ll give you my advice.
1. I don't understand the first question. 2. The ability to find or create opportunity. 3. I work as a manager in a gas distribution agency.
I'm also a student of management, but i would like to give an answer based on my study and my experience when i'm on apprenticeship, so here it is: 1. manager is an employee who is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of a business unit, division, department, or an operating unit within an organization. The manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the work of a group of people in many instances. 2. * Operating Computer * Ms. Office (ex. Excel, PP, Publisher, etc) * Communication Skill * Multi Language (certificated) * Leading skill 3. - work as a manager on IT Dept, Paper Factory (apprenticeship) I've also worked elsewhere, but just been an observer. I'm sorry if i'm not give you a satisfying answer .
It depends on the what kind of business the company is. For example : my agency is a sub-contractor for state-owned enterprise, so the ability to ass-kissing (ok, that's a bit... let's call it having a good network) is important. Not only ass-kissing the boss, having an 'insider' in that SOE is also important (it's harder to please the eunuchs than the emperor) so we can get information fast since a SOE often changing their policy every time they change the bigwig. We have to 'adapt' faster even before the policy is announced since they want the result 'fast' and looking for 'flaws' in their subs and using many excuses to cut the quota and sending them to other agencies that... uh, 'obeying the regulation' (y'know what I mean). You see those dramas about putting a spy or insider in other company? At least that's based on real story (exaggerated though, it's not that vicious until making companies bankrupt).
