Question(s) regarding Latest Chapter Discussion (LCD) rules and paywalled chapters

Are such posts considered spoilers? Should we report them? Can we report them? Please? (note: i have no such victim in mind at the moment)

I didn't find any mention of this in the Rules thread (searched "pay" and "wall") so thought i'd ask.

LCD should just be for "Free" chapters. While "Paywalled" chapter contents should be considered in the "raws", since only some people view it and not all.
LCD should just be focusing on the latest chapter translation that Everyone can read, if not even the Raws chapters of the Original Content can Also be considered Latest Chapter.
So yeah, those posts Are considered Spoilers, cause Not Everyone can read it and know about it.
Heck, even Adwalled chapters are Borderline Spoilers, cause even if it's Free but Not Everyone want to experience ads so there are many still didn't read it and since it's still got a "Wall" block so it Can't be consider "Free". Only Genuine "Free" chapters should be focus in the LCD.

LCD is for discussion on the latest chapter released that everyone is expected to be able to read.
However, if you want to talk about paywalled chapters, using the spoilers tag should be good enough, though not preferred. Better to just not talk.
Qidian has it's own forum for such talk.

 

Hmmm, adwalled are released and listed on NU, so I would say they are fine. In general, I would say any chapters listed on NU should be available for discussion without spoilers.

 

Yeah, that's why I said "Borderline". Technically, it's a "Walled" chapter, not a "Free" chapter. But it's a "Walled" that Everyone can "pass" it, just whether they are willing or not, so it's can be considered a "Free" chapter, just Not a "Genuine Free" chapter. That's why I said also said LCD should just be about "Genuine Free" chapter that Everyone can access Without any Disturb.

 

There is no need to change rules, chapters on NU can be discussed on LCD, chapters outside NU cannot.

Too troublesome, it's just an ad with like... 3 different scripts to bypass it if you really don't want to watch it.

WW also has ads, and that doesn't stop people from commenting on their LCDs.

 

Because their chapters are still free? It's not like QI that force/need to watch ads to view the chapters? So they are the same? And not everyone know about the bypass, like Newbies so they still force/need to watch ads to view the chapters.

 

Ad walled chapters are still free and you are also forced to see ads in WW to view the chapter, you just made my point.

Do you even read in WW? What do you mean all? Or do you mean the ads in the Site itself and not the Ad-walled?

 

Ads on the site itself = Has to view ads to read the novels.

Ad-walled chapters are chapters with Ads Directly Coded into the chapter and Prevent you from reading the chapter unless you Clear the Ads, either by viewing or by coding like you said
Ads on the site are just Advertisement Implemented to the Site itself, both to serve as Advertisement to a Service/Product/etc.... and to let the Host gained revenue from the Ads, NOT To Serve as a Wall for the Viewer and Force/Need them to View/Clear/Whatever to read the chapters. Even Without Those Ads, you Can Still View The chapters. Just use something like an Ad-block program or something.....
If you say it like that then at least 90% of most hosting websites are Ad-walled, then we wouldn't have someone like the OP be confused.

 

Do enlighten me on how can you possibly use WW without using viewing ads.

Sites with ads are sites with ads directly coded into the site and prevent you from browsing unless you let them display, either by viewing them or by using a third party program (adblocker) to stop them.
Ads on the chapter are just Advertisement Implemented on the Chapter itself. Even Without Those Ads, you Can Still View The chapters. Like a third party script or something......
