When I wrote that question, I was imagining a scenario where Town Vig thought he was Town Doc, and went to "doc" the towniest person alive, only to kill them instead.

Basically, the goal is if you know that your ability allows you to target someone, ideally you also want to know what sort of person to target too.

Well... I guess it's slightly ambiguous and there's a chance Zone would RNG the answer unless you give preset guidelines.

To get around that, you could probably write a question like this:

Assuming that if I knew my role, and that

• if I were a town protective power, I would judge that it's beneficial to target town
• if I were a town killing power, I would judge that it's beneficial to target mafia/neutral
• if I were a town investigative power, I would judge that it's beneficial to target mafia/neutral
• if I were a town support power, I would make no judgment

would I judge that it's beneficial for me to target mafia/neutral?

 

Choosing questions to ask is so hard . Doesn’t anyone have ideas for questions to ask ?

It's simpler, and while you wouldn't know which of the two you were if you got "yes", it seems less likely to go wrong...
