I was about to make a spoiler thread for it..you beat me at it..

Hmmm.... It seems an interesting change from cannon-fodder counterattacks to the actual heroine persevering till the end.... Hm.....
Spoilers please! Is there romance? Or is it just the heroine winning in the end? Multiple MLs or a single ML?

 

So, I try to mtl this a bit last night. From my understanding, there is romance and just one ML (since the one from arc 1 was the same in arc 2)

The first arc starts at chapter 2 and ends at chapter 32. That's my understanding of it. Feel free to correct me

Spoiler: Arc 1: First part

The mc is the legitimate child of the general and the princess -the emperor's sister. She was supposed to have a smooth life, marry the second prince who will later become the crown prince and emperor. But once, her shu sister had a transmigrated soul in her, the story changed. In the original, the shu sister was supposed to later marry an official and have a peaceful life. However, the transmigrated soul wanted more than that. She wanted everything the di sister had and so, she seduced the second prince, created many difficulties for the di sister, later she married the prince, made in sort that the general -her father- got exiled (I think), the sister was demoted(?), the princess was secluded in her place and later died. The mc is now here to arrange that.

Anyway, when the mc came, the original had already been pushed in that crowded place and she fell. She was now seated in an isolated place, actually waiting for the sister. Sure enough, the other came with tears in her eyes saying that it was her fault, she failed to prevent her from going to that crowded place. The second prince came then and the sister cried even more, appearing pitiful, so the prince asked what happened, she proceeded to tell her version. The idiot liked beauties, ofc he sided with her, asking the mc to not be unreasonable, that it wasn't the sister's fault. The mc left the place, while her servant was angry on her behalf.

Mc asked the system if she had to be with that kind of prince. She was very much unwilling. System said that there was no appointed "Lord of the world." she was free to do as she liked. She thought then about the other children of the emperor to select the most suitable to be the next emperor. None of them met the requirements. She then remembered that there is one actually. The first prince.

The events that happened were reported to her mother. She got angry and was quite reluctant now to have her daughter marry that kind of man. Her daughter would suffer many grievances if she did so. The general agreed with her thinking. Actually, the marriage was just an oral contract set by the queen when then original!mc was born, there was no edict. The parents started discussing how the would break it.

A few days later, the mother took the mc to a temple, when she got better. -Her foot was sprained when she fell maybe?- The sister followed, even though the princess didn’t like her she actually convinced the other to take her along. By this time, the sister was already set on having the second prince.

The mc knew the story of the world so she knew that there was a special resident in this temple, the first prince, Ji Yu. He was the son of the first queen? (Well, I didn’t understand that much). Anyway, it was the emperor that disguised him and had him stay in this temple since he was ten years old -poor kid-. In the original story, he spent his life as a monk his whole lifetime.

The Mc purposedly went to his yard and when they met, she lied about being distracted by the mountains’ beauties wandering without paying attention. She claimed to be tired and asked for some water. She had recognized who he was because he looked a bit like the second prince.

He invited her and gave her tea that she drank even though her servants warned her that it was of unknown origins. In the beginning, she just wanted to chat a little but soon found that they had similar points of view and unconsciously talked for an hour. It was time to go, and he proposed to see her out for her not to get lost.

They heard voices and saw the second prince and the sister flirting. Seeing her staring, Ji Yu asked if she knew them, which she denied and continued walking. They parted then saying goodbyes.

Back to his residence, the ML (Ji Yu)’s face changed. The usual indifferent expression and the compassionate smile left the place to cold and chilling eyes. He asked about the woman's identity to be checked and also her relationship with his brother with a cold and hard voice. From the corner of the room, a voice sounded yes and left in a breeze.
Alone, he poured himself a cup of tea, reminiscing her. He lived alone for more than ten years so few things actually affected him, and the mc was one of them it seemed.

Back to the mc when her mother saw that her face didn’t look good she ask what happened. Actually, the original!mc would always keep shut about things that tormented her. The mc wasn’t willing to do that. So now that her mother was asking, she rushed to her and cried in her arms. The mother is panicked but still, the mc didn’t answer, crying much more. Why? The more the grievances, the greater the mother’s anger would be of course! The mother could only ask the servants, to which the recounted the events. The princess is angry. Even in a temple, these people dared! Even knowing that she wasn’t far.

The mother asked the mc if she really liked the second prince to which the mc whispered that she didn’t really know, to her mother’s relief. The mother estimated that today’s grievances were certainly due to losing face, quite happy that she wouldn’t have to spend much efforts to persuade her daughter to stop liking the man. She consoled her child, saying that these two people didn’t deserve her tears.

The asked informations are delivered to the ML who now knew the identity of the mc. Actually, the princess even though he had been “banished” in this temple was of the few people that still cared and was concern about him so he was grateful to her. He decided to help and since the sister wanted to climb his brother’s bed, he was ready to help her.
The princess reported to the general what she knew, the other is shocked and angry, ready to punish the sister. But his wife calmed him down instead, asking how they should break that marriage affair between their daughter and the second prince.

Actually, the princess and the general were very much in love with each other; It seemed like the sister’s mother took advantage when the general was drunk to climb his bed, and afterward hid her pregnant state until the baby was born. Although his wife said that she didn’t mind, the general felt that he owed her thus couldn’t afford to like the sister.
They didn’t get to think too much that they were summoned to the palace. The emperor said something like he and the queen had similar dreams. Something about the moon and the sun. Supposedly the future emperor and empress. His dream led to think that the second prince would be named crown prince and the future empress lived in the general’s residence (something like this I think). The princess was a devout buddhist and dreams like these couldn’t be taken lightly but she was unwilling to let her daughter marry the second prince. She asked her brother if he didn’t hallucinate actually. The emperor glared at her, saying that he wasn’t old enough for that moreover the queen also had the same dream.

Anyway, after, he looked quite embarrassed when looking at his sister, saying that his decision was for the good of the country, making her panicked. Actually, in his dream, the empress was located in the sister’s yard, so the shu sister was to enter the palace. Sisters didn’t share a man then the oral contract between them must be broken. And while he kept talking guiltily he had no idea how happy his sister was. It turned out the news were good! Her daughter was saved and even more, the troublesome person was going! Anyway, the mother kept her composure enough to listen to what her brother was saying. As compensation it seemed, her daughter get a seal? (Not too sure). Seeing that wife and husband weren’t refuting the emperor was even more guilty and grew even more generous. The couple happily went back.

The mc was informed. The mother noted the look of joy on her daughter’s face, completely calmed down.
Although happy, the mc still questioned the system. After all, all this drama about dream didn’t happen previously, to which the system replied that there was no abnormal situation. Well, she didn’t care.

ML at the temple said that he didn’t go out for a long time, wondering if these old friends remembered him.
News were announced. The sister was to enter the palace. The mc became a governor with her very own seal -a never seen thing before-

I tried to MTL a bit but this is hard to understand. There is a lot of names and not every name. but before I give up I read that the second prince was after MC, because she is the number one beauty and he is the one that going to be empire. he was overwhelmed with narcissism and was thinking who could have her but him

 

I’ll post what i can for the remainder of arc 1, i’ll continue from the last post..

• MC wanted to go hunting to practice her hobbies, in the world women also practice horse riding and hunt and MC has very good abilities in her original life, however her horse suddenly rampage and she was thrown off it’s back inspite of her relative trying to help her. The horse was about to trample her when ML managed to save her and kill the horse. He bought her to this field of flowers, where he gave her a blue flower that according to him is a way of confessing love from this one tribe. He also kissed her, but their meeting was cut short as her father came to pick her up.
• ML was actually the first prince, the only son of emperor from his first wife. He loves that wife, they are childhood sweetheart. But the queen died of dystocia(? Is that the correct term, so i dunno the reason why the emperor sent ML to temple, maybe he cannot stomach seeing ML as the cause of his mothers death? )
• Also, it seems, not sure at this point of time, but ML seems to notice the system in MC’s body. MC noticed that ML looked at her like looking at system though system told her that no one should be able to sense it’s existence. System also is quite whenever MC is with ML, telling MC later that he was upgrading as an excuse for it’s silence.
• Both her parents was frightened that she was hurt and angered that someone tried harming her by poisoning her horse.
• Half-sis did her white lotus act, not that anyone believes her, and tried to ram herself to a pillar to “prove” her innocence. After she came back to her room, she feels great at having tasted power and was determined to have more power. Because back then MC’s mother can kill anyone without any repercussions but since half-sis is to be wed to 2nd prince, the mother cannot harm her.
• MC uses system as spying tools.. she feels great as she can have all info she wants instantly, she use system to spy at half-sis and 2nd prince. She also managed to acquire info about the crimes of 2nd prince and just waiting for the right time to reveal it.
• Wedding happened, but people noticed that the grand general household is indifferent to the wedding. It was only saved from being a humiliation because of the royal’s gifts.
• MC noticed that 2nd prince seemed to like half-sis maidservant and i guess he also bed her in their wedding night? (Not sure about this, mtl was confusing)
• In this old lady’s 70th bday, half-sis noticed the huge difference of the people’s regard to her and MC with MC’s mom. She noticed that while she is wearing a dress tailored from royal fabric but MC’s dress consists of rare treasures. As MC’s mom was the only sibling of emperor, and since the princess likes treasures, emperor usually gives the tributes from other countries to his sister who gives them to her daughter. Half-sis was so angry she go away leaving the rest gossiping that she doesn’t know etiquette.
• MC, with system’s prompt, discovered that 2nd prince is having an affair with someone right at that moment. Ofc, she decided to play an act of accidentally discovering them by inviting all the ladies with her to view the garden. The scandal was spread to the public despite the royal family ordering their silence.
• MC taunted half-sis. Stating that it was karma. Telling her that she knows about their affair in the temple. Half-sis was shocked, she didn’t know that MC knows that secret. MC also tells her that she knows other secrets too, telling her all the schemes that half-sis thought are secrets.
• MC decided to release the 2nd prince wrong doings to public. She let the scandal blow over to catch the emperor’s notice and investigate. Once emperor found the truth, despite 2nd prince denying and asking for forgiveness emperor had him house arrested for a while.
• ML also decided to retaliate against half-sis because she schemed against MC. He had someone poisoned half-sis, where half-sis gained red spots all over her face. She has no choice but to wear a scarf with only her eyes uncovered. However, no matter the medicine the spots became wounds that bleeds. It was so scary looking and has bad smell that she herself cannot help but retch when she sees it. Half-sis was angered that 2nd prince after seeing her face never appeared and decided that it was MC’s fault in ruining her face. She tried to appeal to the queen to investigate. The emperor did investigate as he thinks that if the tightly guarded prince residence was breached what more is the palace?
• Before this, i think queen was also banned to go out from her palace because she caused a favored consort’s pregnancy.
• In the course of investigation, it was revealed that in the prince residence there was a plant/flower that when ingested can cause hallucinations and dreams. It made the emperor suspicious about the dream he had so he also ordered a more thorough investigation. Found out a pill in the palace that has the plant as an ingredient. Looked for the queen and asked her the truth. Queen tried acting innocent but emperor threw a bunch of papers/scrolls detailing her crimes. She was initially confident as those dead are already burried and she thinks that the emperor will give some importance to their 20 years of marriage but when she saw the name in the next paper she paled. It detailed the plan that she concocted that resulted to the first queen’s death. In a rush of emotions, she admitted and told the emperor that she did all that because she was jealous of her sister’s perfect life.
• Not sure what the punishment was, i think both mother and son were demoted to commoners?
• Emperor decided to get back his son from temple and try to paved way for him to be crowned prince. Before this, ML told MC to wait for him because he will propose marriage in a year. Emperor gave him new palace and tried giving him concubine but ML declined. Emperor was told that ML has a favorite girl and that was the girl beside his aunt. Emperor was overjoyed and decided to have him learn war tactics from the general so he can have opportunities to make contact with MC.
• ML was tasked by emperor to lead soldiers against invaders. After a year of fighting, ML returned victorious. As he was parading in the returning march, assassins appeared to kill him, noticing this, MC told the guards, from the general fu, that was guarding them mother-daughter to help ML. However, she didn’t know that she was the secondary target and was stabbed in the chest behind. She fainted in ML’s arms.. she was trying to tell him that she also loves him because ML confessed to her before leaving.
• She returned to the white space very sad as she was reluctant to leave all her love ones behind, her parents and ML. System urged her to wake up or else she will fail her mission, she woke up then. She found out that she was in a coma for 6 days. Both ML and her parents were beside her after she woke up and was very happy.
• Well after that, no more mentiones of the enemies and they live HEA. In fact, their reign was a legend as they ruled greatly and because ML even as emperor only has MC in his harem...
• After dying, when MC returned to system space. She happily told system “system, i finally know why humans only need to live a lifetime is enough” to be accompanied by that person.
• She can even still feel his warmth in her right hand. Before dying ML told her, “anty(?), this life can be with you, is the honor of Jiji”.
• Note: ML discovered the assassins were sent by 2nd prince, because he knows that he has no hope of being emperor while the assassination order for MC came from half sis...

Whew... i mtl’d, hope this helps...

Seems she was a originally a modern person. So when she woke up and find herself in ancient times she was ecstatic because she transmigrated. Originally, she was happy as she believes her new fate is very good however the moment she noticed the host’s sister she began to hate the origMC’s fate of having all the good things and being better than herself in everything. So she grew angry because she feels that she should be the protagonist, the heroine as she was the transmigrated person. So that’s why she schemed to rob the origMC of everything. However, after all this, she was confused as why origMC seems indifferent to all her schemes. And when MC retaliated, she felt that MC was vicious never reflecting her own faults.. all she gained became a joke.. then she thought, let’s go to hell together... she happily waited for the news that MC was stabbed and unconscious, but while waiting for news of her death, a white damask(?) was sent to the government..
“Jiang Ling Zhen, i am waiting for you in the prefectural.” She smiled and closed her eyes...

I think the basis of this novel/system is for MC to battle with the transmigrated/rebirthed/reincarnated person. Or maybe not, as i only just finished 2nd arc, but so far, all the host that MC replaced didn’t do anything harmful to those persons but they were destroyed just because they are better and were blessed with good life, in short pitiful cannon fodder... tskkk... i’ll post the 2nd arc spoiler a bit later...

Edit: why are all the new quick transmigration stories has chapters spanning 2k? I honestly don’t know if i will still have enough patience to spoil all arc, i am still lagging mtl-ing the other QTcannon fodder i am spoiling... i’ll do my best..

Edit-edit: orrr...... maybeeee... in the original plot the hosts are the heroines and the others are cannonfodders... but since those aforementioned cannonfodders was given a 2nd chance or a cheat, they decided to be the heroine and it just so happens that in order to do that the original heroine must be deposed.. but here comes MC to make the original heroine achieved their goal as be the main chara of their world.... well, this is what i think, how about you guys?

This was the arc, that made me realize that even if MC has a system it is not all-knowing perfect cheat that makes MC so OP.

2nd arc: Giants vs. Rebirth (mtl arc title)
Characters:
Cheng Xizhi: the person Gu Sheng replaced, only daughter of a rich family, very much loved and doted by entire family, little princess

original plot:
After the Cheng parents were married, they gave birth to 2 sons. When the little daughter was born, the couple was so happy that they even visited a master of physiognomy(?) to name their daughter. Fearing that CX will get lonely, the couple decided to adopt a young girl from a distant relative who is close to CX's age. Since at the young age, CX knew that she is engaged to the 2nd young master of the Yuan family. However, unknowingly YH began to like CX's sister CY. Because the 2 families are also willing, there was no problem until the CX and YH married. Unfortunately, YH began to treat her coldly after marriage. Until one day CX went out and saw YH and CY kissing in the parking lot and realized that her husband and sister are cheating on her. suffering such grievance, CX made a fuss on the spot and returned to the Cheng house and told the family about the incident. Predictably, the parents are furious. They kicked CY out of the family and help their daughter divorce YH thus interrupting all business transactions they have with the Yuan family.

CY was very miserable after she was driven out as she is used living luxurious life provided by the Cheng family. She found out that the money she has cannot support her extravagant lifestyle. While YH was monitored by Yuan family and forbidden to contact CY. With no choice, CY was forced to prostitution until she contacted STD and died miserably. Opening her eyes, she discovered she is 18 again.

After rebirth, CY was full of hatred to Cheng family especially CX . She seduced YH and told him many bad things about Chen that YH became disgusted to them. It is the start of the bad luck of Cheng family, Cheng business got bankrupt, the Cheng couple crashed when they went abroad for business, 1st bro was accidentally injured in the bar, 2nd bro, who was very proud of his art, was accused of plagiarism. He cannot withstand the public and commited suicide. While CX works to pay off debts. Unfortunately, CY wouldn't let her be and hired a goon to humiliate her. At the end, with everyone's blessing CY and YH got married.

Counter-attack:
After MC got the story, she felt utter disgust towards CY. MC felt that all the bad things that happened to CY is self-inflicted. CY was treated very well, almost the same as CX by the Cheng family but she still hooked up with her sister's husband. not only that, after rebirth, she even had the gall to treat the Cheng family a life long hatred not stopping untill killing them all. MC's task is to keep the Cheng family safe.

Arc started after MC went back from a year abroad and was fetched by her older brother in the airport, since she is playing a little princess. Mc acts spoiled towards her family. She was only 17 yrs old but she already has a double degree. when they arrived back home, she was welcomed warmly by her parents and she responded lovingly back to them. she then asked her mother, where CY was? her mother answered her about CY change, how recently she became more secretive and sometimes doesn't even go home at night. There was some feelings for CY from Cheng mother considering that they did raise her for more than a decade.

By this time, CY was already reborn last month, as she is 1 year older than CX. CXuan arrived and embraced MC enthusiastically. Looking at the family with a smile, MC swore that she will not let CY destroy a perfect family. CX then announced her arrival. Upong seing MC, she tried to control her "heart-rending" hatred towards MC. CY hates CX's arrogance. She feels hate that CX was treated like a little princess that the whole family protects and dotes on.

CX was given 20% shares of the company so she can live a lifetime without worries. So she was introduced publicly for the first time in a company party. Employees were surprised that she is the general manager's younger sister as they know CY, but was corrected that CX was the biological sister because the fact that the Cheng couple adopted a daughter was an open fact. That is also the reason of the marriage, why it was CX that is engaged to YH. In that party, YX was present and for the first time saw MC. ML felt that MC feels familiar. Realizing that she is his future SIL, he felt irritable but disregard it attributing to work being too busy. MC then felt something, however upon looking she shakes her head and laughed at herself of thinking that ML was watching her. Thinking it was impossible, as unlike her, that person is long gone. after sitting in a corner, all kinds of people approached her trying to have a relation with her for a sure way of climbing the Cheng's tree. however, MC concept of feeling is simple, her heart is small, can only accommodate one person. She didn't know that she was being watched by CY. Even if adopted, people are also flattering her, CY likes to enjoy this feeling. She then remembers her awful past life, and thinks it was simply a nightmare and now that she is still the gorgeous miss of Cheng Family, she vowed that in this life she will not let herself fall into that situation again.

ML went and approach MC bringing an oppressive air, this was natural to ML as when he was a child he trained with his uncle, so he was surprised that MC wasn't affected. While MC was thinking that as a queen last life, what kind of people had she not seen? This man is not enough to make her fall. ML then introduced himself, and hand shake with MC. As their hands touch, ML became fascinated. When MC was about to give a speech, she tripped but she was rescued by ML. MC falling to ML's embrace, smelled a familiar lotus fragrance. When she recovered, MC asked ML if he likes the fragrance of lotus flower however when ML answered that he never uses perfume, MC was left in a daze as ML left. MC hopefully asks system if Ji Yu (ML's last arc's name) is the same as her, however system replied that there is no possibility. But MC insisted that ML "taste"(maybe smell?) the same as Ji Yu, and since she was with him all their life she was sure of it but system remained silent since it cannot explain the phenomenon. Mc felt excited, previously since coming to this world she feels weird and less energetic thinking that there was no need to stick around in this world after completing the task but now she feels like living.

In fact, Gu Sheng(MC), isn't the system's first host. before her, it has several. They were all in the same world as MC (maybe it means that they are all like MC, or did it mean they all came from MC's original world *shrug*). They all fell in love with someone in a certain world, but in the past, after that world passed away, their lovers died forever and the hosts continue going through worlds. For such a long time, how firm are the will of the hosts? System feels that it is difficult to support it's hosts because a hopeless eternal life is more cruel than anything else. so much so, that the first 3 hosts of the system, 2 of them asked the for self-destruction (maybe MC was the 3rd? if not, where is the 3rd host)

There is an arc here that is almost the same plot as that of QWFOtD, where MC has to have pure faith on their god because of their host and plot... and ML was the god they are worshipping so i just need to read more... aaarrrgghhhh, i can’t stop.. sorry for those who thought this was arc 2’s continuation...

Edit: @kiara8 of course, as of now my interest is as strong as ever.. though i’ll finish arc 2 first... i was hoping to do this in order...

Eeerrrrr... i like this novel, that is the truth.. i dunno if it is just me, but the arc kind of fell flat... or maybe i just had high expectations due to comparing it with FotD, since FotD was a greatly written novel others sort-of disappointing... aaahhh...

Arc 2

• Mc’s father has birthday party
• Sister took present for father because she knew mc would give it
• Mc personally drew painting, everyone impressed. Even professional said its not inferior to him
• Family found out about sister cheating with fiance
• Sister leaves house to live on own
• Family desolves marriage contract, allows ml tp pursue mc
• Ml showed ex fiance pictures of sister with other men because she needed money
• Mc in car accident, caused by sister
• Cant draw anymore
• Ml tortures sister because if accident
• Mc and ml live happily ever after

 

Arc 3 basic spoiler
Mc asks system about ml, system finds out info is restricted

• Western magic world
• Mc is genius swordsman with monstrous talent
• Backstory is a girl named eve got neclace, which housed demon. Demon improved her talent, mc was supossed to be stepping stone
• Mc gets kitten from prince, prince has crush on her but he isnt ml
• Demon urges eve to capital because he feels something important is there
• Mc and friend go out to get food for kitten, meet rival duke’s daughter
• Rivals a magician whos always compared to mc
• Mc’s friend invite her to coliseum
• Eve arrives in capital, slave trades mistake her for slave and put her in coliseum
• In coliseum, chaos ensues
• Mc saved rival and eve saved mc because demon asked her to
• Mc takes eve back to her home
• Demon forms contract with mc because he is in love with mc
• Mc takes eve into her family
• Timeskip 3 years
• Mc looking for ml, mistakenly thinks she found him, but realizes mistake
• Demon goes to fountain of life to revive his body, gets into trouble
• Mc goes to help him, when she sees his body, she realized demon is ml
• Goes back home, gets married, form legend together

 

How should I say this, I don’t know if it’s the way you summarize it, but there doesn’t seem to be a great conflict in these arcs?

 

Not much conflict in arc 3, but plently in arc 1 and 2. I’m only covering the basic points, so its missing a lof of detail and nuance
