Against the Gods has an unusual amount graphic violence and sexual content. I won't go much further on graphic violence which is very common in fights. But there is rape (Chu Yuechan sex scene was not a consented one even if it was for saving her life), detailed sex scenes (Princess Cang Yue after marriage scenes) and fetishes (Let's not forget Little Demon Empress is more than 100+ years old while our protag is only 21-21 years old.) and polygamy (Well it's currently 4 members for team Smooth Che.) I think this warrants for at least a R-15 tag if not a R-18 ?? What do you think about it ?? Bonus Question : What does Ancient Strengthening Technique contain to have an R-18 tag ? I am curious since I am about to start reading it P.S : This is not a rant/diss thread nor is this to demean or insult ATG content. The purpose of this thread is to discuss tags. Be nice with each other while posting P.P.S : Actually, I am just salty that some-one removed my tag from the NU page I might add a poll if you guys want it. EDIT : Just added R-15 tag again to ATG page hope it stays this time.
Yeah my point nothing you can fap to unlike the usual r-18 novels which are basically written hentais
do you know how many 15 year olds in this world had already had sex? do you not know of the many middle-school teen pregnancies that plagued america? with the amount of details in ATG, R-15 is appropriate enough
eh, i'd say most of ATG's stuff is childish, rather than graphic. it's more of the "hurr hurr, i grabbed your boobs." or *fade to black and jump ahead till after they're done* sort of thing. AST's "cheat" powers up by having sex, and he's forced a fair amount of women along the way. yun che may get around but at least his story keeps movin forward after 2 or 3 chapters. qing shui gets props for regularly visiting his women (or atleast the ones he doesn't have to save, in which case they're screwed, one way or another), instead of vanishing for years at a time, but he's gotten to the point that he spends more time crafting or screwing instead of doing anything close to advancing the plot. it's a difference in scale.
'scene' in AST are a bit more detailed compared to ATG. plus it is more frequent btw, you' shouldn't use 20y.o vs 100y.o argument in a novel where ppl stays young longer, and lived for hundreds of years. for example, what if later mc is 500y,o vs 600y.o female? or 1000y.o mc vs 1200y.o female? or 10000 vs 12000. while the gap is farther (100, 200, 2000) but relatively, they're all oldmen/oldwomen it is different if the argument is for underages, imho
you mean AST? personally, i do think so, but frankly, r-15 and r-18 line is a bit.. blur. because it also depends on author, or publisher, or hosting sites. unless it is accompanied by 'Adult' genre
it is a mars gravity's novel. and there's already hint(s) of that. not to mention, atg is perhaps 1/3 or 1/4 into the story. at most it'll be half-way. 80 years gap might seem a lot now, but once mc reach 60-70, it would no longer be significant enough. futhermore in xianxia/xuanhuan, there's almost always god-level cultivation rank after sovereign/emperor/saint
