[Rant] Isekai smartphone is horrible

I'm actually a fan of isekai genres since it's pretty much 90% of the web novels I read. I watched every isekai animes from Youjo Senki to Konosuba.

But Isekai smartphone is the worst anime I've ever watched. The MC lacks any personality whatsoever. The plot doesn't make any sense. The harem are forced. The side characters are stupid. The story doesn't have any tension at all. It tried to be funny sometime but ended up lame as hell. He doesn't even use his cheat smartphone since he's too OP and can use every type of magic.

If you're bored and still want to watch this anime, don't waste your time. Instead you can use that time to play video games, learn embroidery, have a conversation with your cat or watch a brick wall. At least they're not as boring as isekai smartphone.

 

the novel was boring to begin with that i was surprised when the anime adaptation was anounced

 

The power of wishfulfilment vehicles(Harem). I wish they'd spare the funds for better isekai LNs anime adaptation instead......

I never saw the reason why it even got an anime. Like the whole concept in itself felt kind of stupid to me. If done right, I felt like even Arifureta could have been a better choice.

 

At least the art is pretty cute.

 

Well, I seen the first episode and based on that, I think its terrible and generic. I will point out one weird thing you didn't mention though which was the static card backgrounds that happened four times in the first episode. It felt weird that they didn't transition using fade to black or something else instead it just feels awkward seeing the flash cards when you know something is suppose to be happening.

Also to add something else during the whole episode it felt very cliche and easy to predict, and I do mean that in a bad way.

For example, there are magic elements in the world and guess what the main character can do? You guess it, he can use every element including some weird null element. In fact he is op in all the elements because hey every main character needs to be over power in isekai anime for no reason.

 

It's okay to pass time ... As well as increasing my anime watched count ..

 

i dunno...Isekai smartphone more like an attempt to fill anime slot for this season

 

i feel like it's a copied version of library of heaven's path but failed so hard. (i have no evidence on this claim)
Instead of gaining students like library of heaven's path.... smartphone is a harem version. It could've been good, but somehow everything so so bland.

Hell, even knights and magic panders to the mecha enthusiasts enough and had some decent animation going for it.

I only read the webnovel until he meet the merchant and go to a town? Forgot about it then drop it since it's not my cup of tea, glad i made that decision since it's not a my cup of tea...

 

watch knight and magic then. though some parts from the novel are cut, it is still pretty good.

 

I will stay neutral because not every story is something for everyone like there are as many SAO haters as those who love it or another one where nearly everyone likes it but only a small part hate it (like the over hyped attack on/of titan) and if something is made into an LN then it has at least a fanbase which like it or it would long been taked off the self also an anime has nothing to do if the LN or so is popular or not it has more to do with the case that the sales of that manga or LN wasnt as good as they liked it and it used to be, so they just gave it a boost with an anime.

So in short it depends on the person and what they like
