Whenever I see rape and doting love tags in the same novel the first thing I think of is a psychopath. I mean can those two even coexist in normal circumstances? Why do people keep romanticising rape anyway?
First, rape to inflict grave trauma. Then dote to help heal from said trauma and earn love points. That's some high level mental manipulation right there!
Real life is weirder than fiction. Coworker told people he was raped by a girl, then dated her for several months, and then pined for her for years trying to get her back.
The same way people romanticaze violence, killing, looting, and domination. Some people want to do that or wish they where in a position to be able to do that...
well you can romanticize anything~ just different type of audience perhaps? as note sometime this cat think NU tag kinda miss on or off? dunno what on mind those who put da tag~ as for rape and doting coexisting on same novel~ its like on those doujinshi... FOR TO HORDE! proceed killing spree~
That's understandable for the victim but I don't like how some authors portray rape. In reality it's a torture that you wouldn't even want your enemy to go through. Maybe its because I'm from a region where crimes against women are very high but I feel very sad whenever I see this scenario.
I'm more surprised that someone actually reads the tags lmao. People usually just go straight to the novel and then complain in the reviews. Is there a second chance tag too? If w/o, it should be Stockholm syndrome If w/, then they're giving rapist-san a second chance i guess...
Psychopaths don't dote like that. In the first place, psychopaths don't feel empathy or love. They can be possessive, but they'll get bored eventually. Psychopaths aren't evil, they are ill. They're born with a condition that almost inevitably causes them to act in ways that can only be described as evil. But they themselves are not evil, they're simply incapable of good. The male leads of novels like that though, are capable of both love and empathy. Yet they do horrific shit anyway. Please don't compare poor psychopaths with those monsters.
I would like examples of the tags coexisting this~ It’s hard to come to a conclusion without that as a basis no?
Examples? I don't really remember the names but if you look up the rape tag there are a few novels which have a doting love tag too.
Cause those who wrote stuff like that, don't know romance or experience in mating. Writing about courting for them is diffucult since they never experience it. So the only quickest go to is rape for them. Or perhaps it's their kink. Or perhaps they are too horny to bother. Or to lazy to write or properly use common sense.
I imagine the author could have a character be raped only to have a different character become the 'doting love[r]'. Still, I think this is in poor taste. Novels with 'rape' tags are often not worth reading anyway. It's such a delicate topic to explore that I'm past trusting people to do so. I remember reading an author explaining that they used a character's rape(or was it sexual assault?) as "character building". I felt like I should wash my hands after reading that.
Step 1 : Go to Series Finder. Step 2 : Go to Tags and pick 'AND' option. Step 3 : Pick Rape and Doting tags. Step 4 : Enjoy. My my, it seems there are 2 pages for these. Though I do think that Rape part is all-encompassing and could even mean other characters. NU tags is imperfect like that.
What you mean is a sociopath, psychopaths r not inherently evil , they just r incapable of feeling sympathy , empathy or in extreme cases any emotion to various degrees , this condition make it very hard for them to see things from others perspective , hence their labelling as evil. They r not evil they're just sick or handicapped. Sociopaths on the other hand r evil and they do evil things for the sake of them that's the monster u r referring to. It is a common mistake.
