Not really OP so much as common sense. He knows the general location, the paths not on the map, and so just uses some AoE at the end of them.
I believe the reason he showed up was because he was worried about his successor. Though it was a waste of time since MC doesn't need it and he will be the leader of all the towers.
Enjoyed the chapter. I would recommend giving it another read. There seemed to be a lot of words blending together.
Being a little confusing is on par for KR novels. As an editor for two KR novels, one of the most important things to keep in mind is readability. I would have added a couple of timestamps to indicate the conversation in the Poison Tower happened several hours ago, but it is also quite possible that the author left it vague. They do that sometimes.
Double chapter release aw yeah. Quick consistency thing. The previous translator for the novel put the fire spire lord as Berenice while this one writes her name as Brynes. Just thought I would point that out.
