Despite the “Electro Woman and Dyna Girl” vibe? Seriously, I don’t blame you. You should have heard the flack when the translator and I used “Ink black dragon” on One Man Army. This was the closest to what the author wrote, but our readers were NOT amused. They hated the lameness. The author has to be the final authority.
New Chapter! I just had a funny thought.... Does it mean that anyone who goes for poison magic are killed by their own spells? Because this doesn’t seem like a normal procedure...I suspect that regular poison users get a generic immunity to poison as part of their quest. The MC is getting a super version, and a pk attempt by a poison mage is going to be amusing. Given how KR authors work, I’m sure this item will boost his leveling. XP, cool down, or something that will allow him to level like a rocket. I suspect that once he completes the poison quest, he will get poison as his next power, and circumstances will allow him to get the legacy of another tower...possibly flame, because the predatory advances of the vice tower master will be funny. Flame Dance works like a shield...auto blasts anyone coming near the MC. Firewall be awesome!
@ManicFishCat Do you know if the formatting change for chapter 42 is on purpose or not? https://asadatranslations.com/2020/01/10/reader-chapter-42-misadventures-in-the-tower-of-poison/ For some reason, the format was changed to the default wordpress one. Edit: Aaaand nvm. It's fixed. No idea what happened.
I'm guessing the system raises their poison resistance when they choose poison as their element. For the MC...Immunity against all poison attacks around his level!(Probably. Not sure.)
oh oh....oh no! No, no, no!!! Do all the tower quests give the MC resistance to each element?!?! Not only will the MC be the most powerful mage, able to use all schools, but he’s immune to fire, poison, lightning, etc?!?! Well, healing obviously isn’t applicable, but it’s bad enough...
Edit: I am reminded of my extreme mage build from Skyrim...spamming master level destruction magic to obliterate whole armies...
Probably that and him putting all his stats into Stamina. I assume that most poison users' spells aren't strong enough to kill themselves. However, because of his high wisdom it's an issue for the MC.
Alas, ALL KR authors are like this. Your schadenfreude is showing. I have a fun idea...what if the treasure is a stash of potions? Including the potions for the stamina quest? Then he can put all points in leveling into wisdom... ps: we might get to see hellfire or inferno.. because obviously he’s gonna need massive AOE spells to destroy iron scarecrows...
Annoyed. really annoyed. Why have realistic NPC and then have the quest reward be teleported to him? Why the author did not pursue some fantasy realism like summoning karu guy's ghost and then have him talk to the MC, then using the neklace as a key or something, have the MC get the map location, or have the ghost tell the MC the location directly. If the author going to pursue realistic VRMMORPG, why not pursue it to the end? it feels like the dev is cutting corner at this point.
