TRIGGER WARNING: Some may find the content spooky and may feel uncomfortable reading it. If you're not okay with horror stories, please quit.

If you're a Muslim, you'll most probably believe in Jinns. Personally it's quite interesting to listen to stories of Jinns.

Who are these jinns? According to Islam, Allah made jinns out of smokeless fire before he made humans out of clay. Unlike ghosts, jinns are shapeless beings who can marry and have children. Unlike humans, they are formless and can ‘live’ for centuries. But like humans and ghosts — and unlike farishtey (angels) — they can be bad or moody. Legend has it that when Iblis, a jinn, refused to bow before Adam, Allah cast him out as Shaitan, not unlike Lucifer who was castigated as Satan. And as among humans, there are Muslim as well as non-Muslim jinns.

In her article ‘Of Children and Jinn’, Naveeda Khan, assistant professor of anthropology at Johns Hopkins University, says that while there’s a large body of academic literature projecting jinns as a figment of cultural memory, mental illness, individual subjectivity or political strategy, to the believer, they are as much a matter of faith as god.
To those who don't believe in them, treat it as a story.
My father has a friend who was born in a family where they treated spiritual illness with the ayah of Quran.
So this Uncle moved to Saudi from India for work and later married and brought his wife in and had kids and is still working here.
The house he chose to live in was a cheap apartment with only him and another guy as tenants.
When his wife first moved in, she saw a shadow flash past her immediately after husband left for work and immediately phoned him to come back. Later she just got used to seeing shadows walk past her hallways like people crossing streets.
Later as Saudi laws changed and dependent fee got really expensive, his family was sent back to India and he still live in that haunted house till my father and other friends forcefully relocated him to a better locality near our current apartment now that his wife was gonna visit Saudi with the youngest 2 kids. They lived there for a long time and now that I came to Saudi for a visit, we had a long conversation and she told me some stories.
So I was telling Aunty U how I don't understand / remember getting down on the highway from the divider into a traffic of cars running 100-200kmph. I had no intention of crossing that road and I was one second standing on the divider thinking about turning back and the next second waking up after being hit in pool of blood surrounded by men.
So she started explaining me that sometimes life pulls you in disasters in ways that are beyond our control and understanding and when there's a mishap written in fate, you can't avoid it.
And literally anyone who has seen that road has marvelled how it's a miracle that I got away from that accident with just two hairline fractures in my left shoulder and right hip (and more injury to muscles) when Saudi car accidents are mostly fatal. My mom (in India at that time) told me that she had been praying at a masjid at that time and praying for us. So it must've been that which saved me. She kept telling my sister, she could hear me calling her in pain and that something must've happened to me. Mother's intuition is magical.

So the topic skipped from one to another and among the many spooky stories from Uncle Z's family, here's my favourite one.

So after a few years of living in tge haunted house, Aunty U had a new neighbour move in, opposite her apartment, they were friends from before and after moving in, she had her very first encounter with a jinn. She felt heavy on chest and woke up from sleep, saw shadows and ran screaming to Aunty U crying and calling her husband to ho home. To sum up, she never stepped back in her apt and the husband was told to go in and pack and move on his own.
After this incident got out, another friend visited aunt U and told her, "U, I heard that she saw a jinn, is that true?? I also wish to see how a jinn looks like." (Aunt U never spoke to anyone about having Jinn in her own house)
After (the friend) she went back home and was sleeping suddenly her bed was lifted mid-air and she heard 'Mereku dekhti boli thi na tu' (you said you wanted to see me) and literally spinned the bed at high speed like a basketball is spun on a finger.
That aunt later came back crying to Aunt U that she never wants to see Jinns again.

Another funny incident was when the aunt U was reading the Quran and a verse came about Jinn. After reading it, she unintentionally sighed and muttered how good it would be if the Jinn in her house was kind enough to drop some money for them. She forgot about it and later at night when she was sleeping, the alar clock on her bedside was knocked down heavily and she heard a voice that said, 'Mai woh nahi hun, jo tu samjh ri' (I am not what you think) - basically saying he was not the good /pious jinn who went around helping people. She immediately sat up and looked down to her alarm clock on the floor.

The only encounter I had with Jinn was when I went to a spiritual scholar to get cure for something minor (Basically he asked me to read a particular surah everyday since my issue was minor and that's it.) But before consultation, they recite a set of Quranic Ayats that can cure spiritual illnesses and people who have heavy illnesses or have Jinns possess them would feel very uncomfortable. Some shout, some cry, some vomit, some faint and so on. So I was sitting there like being in an AMONG US game looking for sus people. In the beginning there were two people amongst 30-40 ladies, one screamed and beat her chest and the other kept clapping. I was like okay just two, until suddenly I heard another loud laugh in diagonally opposite corner of the room. Since I can't understand Arabic I don't know what it meant but the women kept repeating a ayat (verse) which had been recently recited in the speaker and laughing in a mocking manner. After the Ruqyah was stopped and everything went silent that women kept weeping silently. I was very thankful that the organisers had seated me in the corner with normal people who didn't have any major issues. It was hair raising to be honest. Not like being with lunatics or being with someone who was spamming, it's a very different type of discomfort to be in their company.

Has anyone got any such bizarre but true stories to tell??

I apparently told this in the past but when I was a wee lad, my second brother invited me out with his friends to visit a spooky forest in the middle of the night(it was right next to a public elementary school) and he and his friends were discussing about a story of a woman who died there in the past after being raped during the WW2 era I believe.

So, while they were talking about that, my dumb ass self just waltz in to the forest, not knowing why the fuck I was heading into and suddenly got lost in the middle of the forest.

Since I already told this in the past from my perspective, I'll be talking about the perspective of my Brother's view point since its more of a horror story than mine which was just simply cute at most.

My bro suddenly notice that I disappeared from the group and started to sweat as he didn't want our mom to beat the living shit outta him after finding out that I got lost in the middle of the night. So he asked his group to look for me inside the forest but they all nope the fuck of that idea as they still believe on the story they talked about recently.

So, they kinda stayed away for a bit, still scared to head inside, till my brother grit his teeth and was about to head inside. But then...

They notice me coming out of the forest, though I wasn't alone.

In my perspective, all I see was just a normal woman who seemed to be friendly and a kind woman who escorted me out in the forest. It basically was just a warm-hearted story of a friendly ghost guiding child back to their homes.

In my brother's perspective, he and his friends saw an etherial being, shifting back and forth into existence, looking at them with her hollowed out eyes, a creepy smile and her skinny body being more of a monster than human.

I don't know why but my brother had told me this in the past at that time, believing that it was the most scariest shit he ever saw and even told me that some of his friends were traumatize to even remember that event. So, he was even more scared at how strong my mentality was when I was the closest to that ghost at that time yet still acted childish like she was just a normal person.

I think thats one of my ghost stories I had in the past but this was more impactful for me to talk about since this describes that I might have a mental illness of unable to tell people apart or my brain is just that hot-wired to see any people as being beautiful or just normal.

Well do you know 'Six blind men and an elephant '.
Having different perspective doesn't make you ill.
Also I have heard before that such non-human entities adopt scarier forms to scare off intruders from their site. And i have also heard of entities who take beautiful forms.
If that was truly malicious, you guys wouldn't return in one piece I believe.

Wasn't really scary but I used to visit my friend's house which is just few streets away from me. It was already dusk so I had to go back home early because it gets dark fast in our area, I had to go to shortcut which is why I had to cross the abandoned street with only a single abandoned house in it, a bunch of overgrown grass everywhere on the road with not even a lamppost on sight. I took a peek inside the house faraway since I was a bit curious and noticed a bunch of abandoned furniture lying around there. I felt like I'm being stared by someone at the second floor even though I know there's no one in there at least that's what my friend says. Out of nowhere I was thrown a single pebble out of nowhere, I got spooked So I run as fast as I can so that I can go back home immediately. Even to this day I still don't know why that street is abandoned or what happened to that area before. Perhaps I've just been pranked or something.

Also not so fun fact: Our house had someone who committed neckrope in that same area back in the past, which is why we weren't able to complete 3rd floor neither do we usually enter that area. The Gothic-ish design of the house is kinda spooky so I always stay at 1st floor which is always bright unlike the second floor and third floor.

Fun Fact: someone did black magic to Uncle Zs mom, it was the kind with voodoo doll(where someone cast a spell on a doll and everything they do on dolls reflect on human), Aunty said that while walking she would suddenly faint, suddenly her legs and hand would be twisted backwards and they had to keep watch on her because she would suddenly starting walking into the woods. It was only because they kept treating her that she lived upto old age and died two years back. That woman's life has so many adventures including marriage and childbirth are spooky stories.
