Spoiler: How they split up The main family had been distancing themselves from the 2nd and 3rd branch ever since they found out about Shen Miao's forced marriage. Their basically isolated their own residence. But the final straw was when the step family tried to trap MC's brother SQ into marriage with the step grandmother maternal niece. In some party, the step grandma tried to drug SQ into drunk state, then carried him into a room, where according to her plan, he would be found naked with the niece. But SM knew of her plan from the previous life, so I think she switched the drug then had her step cousin (the eldest male cousin, the son from the 2nd branch) knocked out with the grandma's niece. The stepgrandma pretended to be worried of SQ, because he had been missing from the party for quite a long time and she dragged several of the guests with her. She opened the room in front of the guests and as the identities of those in the bed had not been seen, she claimed that her "grandson" must be responsible for the girl. Sure, he was interested in her, but that didn't prevented him to get rid of her if he found her to be risky. Once, she tried to get to the perverted prince's secret room to get hold of the perverted prince's hidden secret. She came too late as ML had arrived earlier. She saw ML and his friends, then ML strangled her and she thought that she would died. I think the turning point was when she kissed him in her drunken state at their farewell. Then 3 years later, he was somehow obsessed with her. He took a small female white tiger as a pet and named it with MC's small name. Then he doted it so much, that his maid thought that he was going to marry that little tiger as his wang fei.

The 2nd aunt hated Shen Miao and still hasn't given up her plot of giving Shen Miao to the pervert prince. There was some banquet at the palace. The pervert prince planned on asking Emperor's marriage decree for Shen Miao and him. The cousin couldn't miss the chance and also came, she hid the pregnancy with her clothes. Spoiler: At The Banquet Remember the eunuch at the first chapter? The one that personally gave Shen Miao her 3 choice of force suicide. He was mentioned as personally picked up by Shen Miao and raised to his current rank thanks to Shen Miao. Well, upon arrival, Shen Miao met him again. He was good at seeing people, and he saw Shen Miao had potential and could help him raised his rank, so he agreed when Shen Miao asked him to do sth. Shen Miao asked him to put some medicine into the pregnant cousin's drink. It was just a normal supplement for normal people, but a little harmful to a pregnant person. The pervert prince was about to ask for the decree when the cousin had a stomachache. Shen Miao pretended to be worry, especially with the food also would be eaten by the Emperor, so they had to make sure that nothing was poisoned. In the end, the physician told everyone that the cousin was pregnant. The cousin, to avoid embarrassment and punishment, claimed that it was the pervert prince's child. Now that it had been revealed, the pervert prince couldn't ask for Shen Miao anymore. In the end, the cousin married the pervert prince. The eunuch was punished with death for tampering the food. Shen Miao didn't worried for the eunuch as no body would believe that the palace eunuch would simply comply to her instruction. Spoiler: Xie marquess? I think the last mention of him was when both of ML's "stepbrothers died. He was mention of being sad. Before that, when he heard the news of ML's death, he was so in grief that he resigned from his position, so he no longer had any power. But I don't think there was any further mention of him, even when ML attacked the country or when ML's identity was revealed. Oh, but I think he was one of the person whom ML told his subordinates not to harm when they attacked the country.

How did her ex-husband(the ninth prince) become the emperor in this life?I thought he only became the emperor in the first life because of the MC's family, so how did he become the emperor in the 2nd life even though he doesn't have the shen family's support?

After the crown prince died (after the scandal involving the murder of the neighbouring prince), the Emperor thought that 9th prince was the lesser evil than his other sons (since 9th prince showed no ambition toward the throne and the only one that support the crown prince and tried to help him), so he appointed 9th prince as the heir. Spoiler: Shen Yue She kept obsessing toward being 9th prince consort, but since her family status had dropped following the severing relationship between the 1st branch, she couldn't be the candidate. She kept rejecting other good marriage proposals from another family. Her father couldn't take it anymore and latter forced her to be engaged to one which actually had good family position and etc. The 2nd branch shu sister saw this as chance and pretending to be nice to her and kept praising the groom to be. This put the idea of Shen Yue. She drugged the 2nd branch shu sister and switch her position with the shu sister. Then when the shu sister arrived at those family, she told them that Shen Yue had crush on 9th prince. This scared the family as they were the loyal supporter of the crown prince, so when the Shen branch family came later to switch them back, the groom family refused and they told everyone that shu sister was Shen Yue and she had been a good bride to them. Shen Yue could no longer married into a good family as her identity had been taken by the shu sister, so she run away from home and later became the neighbouring price (he had not yet been killed) 's concubine. Later Shen Yue's mother tried to help the girl, who in the past life became Shen Xin's concubine bc he owed the girl's parent and MC's mom took pity on her. In the past life, the girl manipulated MC and her mother into thinking that the other hated them. She told MC not to visit her ill mother as the mother become ill bc she was angry at MC and to the mother, she told her that MC refused to visit bc she hated the mother. Then the girl poisoned the mother. In this lifetime, MC kept hinting to the girl that Shen Xin already had heir, so even later a concubine gave birth to a son, it couldn't shake her brother's position, while 3rd branch only had a daughter. The girl stayed in the branch house and the 3rd aunt kept being nice to her bc she thought that the girl was seducing SX, but the girl in fact rarely visited the main branch and seduced the 3rd uncle instead. The 3rd uncle had been fed up with the 3rd aunt bc of Shen Yue's scandal, and the step-grandma supported their secret affair bc she wanted a grandson (her only other grandson had died). Anyway, much had happened, and later all of the family, including Shen Yue got imprisoned bc of crime, and executed, with MC and the shu sister watching them.

Nothing much happened to him. At his turn, SM kept her calm and he was messing around with her by shooting everywhere to scare her (it's the reason he lost, bc he didn't take it seriously). At her turn, SM managed to scare him instead, bc the direction of her arrow was at his head. He got scared and crouched down, the arrow shot the apple, so he lost. After, he got ignored by SY, he was surprised bc he thought SY as the gentle girl who wouldn't behave like that.
Did MC family hear about MC performance at chrysanthemum banquet and what their reaction? And about MC conduct which different from before?
When will MC realize that she love ML, and did she told ML that she love him? And is there any explanation why ML has to go to other country eventhough he is prince in other country?
She isn't really mentioned often initially to be honest as she is overshadowed and repressed by the di Shen Qing and SQ's mother. Her name is Shen Dong Ling, she is the 3rd Shen lady from the 2nd household. However, she is supposedly very talented in the arts and intelligent. She plays a bigger role later in the novel.
This new sister only show up almost half of the story, cause she's smart. So she stay low and did not take part in the conflict. Later on when the opportunity came, she slowly show her fang. She could have her happy ending if only she satisfied with what she already got, but she did not satisfied and try to bite on our MC, in the end she also has missearble fate
LOL To be honest she totally deserved it and had it coming, considering she Spoiler tried to scheme to get MC married off to the Crown Prince Though I have to admit she was one of the more intelligent characters, considering how she was able to Spoiler scheme so well to get such aa good marriage despite being a shu daughter from a declining branch.
