The step-brother escaped. The ML seem a bit concern (seeing how the MC had been suffering), happy (after finding out his fated one was the MC), and guilty (for sending out a search warrant for the MC which he found out caused the MC great trouble). The main reason he was looking for the MC was due to his grandfather forcing him to go out to find his 'fated person' aka the MC, but he had no idea what the MC looked since the only photo they had of him was when he was 12.
It seems that the ML's grandfathers friend said something about the ML not being able to live past 30 unless he finds his destined person who can help him survive. Where I'm currently at, they have no idea what they're suppose to do.
Yup! The ML of course! Though, it was due to a life and death situation. Adding more onto this, basically, the MC's stepmother who was in rags saw the MC with his friend, LQ, eating at a restaurant. She starts to accuse him of taking their things and treating her and her son wrongfully etc until LQ curses at her saying how he knows what crap shes done to the MC like how she basically kicked him out. Things happen which led to her stabbing the MC in his heart(?) with a curse. ML was able to hold back the curse while but needed help, LQ went to find this other powerful Taoist monk who's friends with the MC to help remove the curse. Once that was settled, the MC's stepmother was chained up in jail. The ML shows up with her son and started to stab him in front of her. All that was heard was their screams but of course, he didn't kill them because he believes that acting so would be considered too light of a punishment for them. New update on this, it fades into black.
