Chapter 127: scamming NPC's~ that's a nice touch to the game. Didn't really expect that when the blacksmith was mentioned to Nie Yan. Now will he scam the scammer?

 

Chapter 128: nice new skill~ pity there's not more information on the probability of working against levels. If it's 60% for equal level then +/- 10% for every level below or above maybe? And after a threshold level it's either 0% or 100% on either side~

@Kna I raised a huge eyebrow while translating that too... I'm guessing he means specifically in this period in the game and not in general. At least that's what I hope for my own sanity's sake.

 

Isn't he saying it in terms of a new small business competing with others similar to it. Big supermarkets may be able to afford doing such a thing but the smaller shops would lose a lot in the long term.

@toticky He's facing an Elite monster which has much higher defense than a ordinary monster. Even Leader-class have significantly better stats than ordinary monsters.

 

@littleshanks but like the next line says "Against an equal level opponent, he received no negative modifiers; thus the damage he dealt was fairly significant."

 

@toticky yeah, you receive negative modifiers for trying to kill anything above your level. That has nothing to do with mosnter class. Higher class monsters just have tankier base stats and higher damage while with negative modifiers, their stats don't change, you just don't deal as much damage because of the level difference penalty.

 

@littleshanks I should say that I'm just nitpicking because its entertaining to me, but that must be insane armor cause he was hitting level 15 enemies for 105-110 with one attack and level 23 enemies for 60 - 70

@toticky Well, my counterargument to that is that you never saw him even dare to take on the Leader-class monsters directly, not the Vampires Barons or the Skeleton Kodos. It just shows how much stronger higher class monsters are. Like think back to the early chapters, he nearly got his ass kicked by a Leader-class Water Spider and that was 2v1 with Yao Yao helping him out when he was easily taking on Ordinary-class Water Spiders. Another point to make is that these Zombies seem to be tanky type monsters.
