The author made it clear that the MC is either... 1) Self trained to hide the details of his recipe by hiding details...obviously he's paranoid about being filmed so he learned to move in ways to hide critical details... 2) crucial details, like cooking time, and movements in massaging the marinade on the chicken, exact ratio of the spice mix were not picked up by the video, possibly COULD not be videoed. Muscle memory skills, for example. This can be inferred because of the critical failures in duplicating the recipe...
