Most of the time, I leave a comment when I find an excellent or dreadful novel. I've never given any praise to the TapRead translation team before, so this time that I found an interesting webnovel on their site, I feel that I must highlight it. "Late night Tales of the Capital" is a slightly original, serious work that is properly translated. I would definitely recommend it to readers, as it can still be considered a newly released novel. The site is new, and looks pretty good. But the hate they're getting is well deserved, they're outright retranslating novels that are already being translated like Talisman Emperor, Upgrade Specialist from Another World, ATG, to name a few, the reason I say retranslating and not stealing is at the very least they aren't aggregating chapters and it looks like they've more or less started from the beginning, still wrong though. Also though I say retranslating, I'm 80% most of it is MTL and then edited (pretty well tbf) but still MTL.
Anyone know any good novels in tapread? I've read your suggestion And after 2 chapters.. It looks promising but well it's only 2 chapters. The translation quality is also good..
TapRead is fucking up big time! The latest chapter of the novel is written with MTL, they probably changed the "translator" in charge of the project or smg. The quality is so horrible, I'm thinking of giving up this webnovel. So sad, so maddening!!! It's like they don't see the difference between a machine-translated chapter and a proper chapter translated by someone who knows how sentences in English are supposed to look like.
I was just about to say the same thing. WTF did they do to the translator? It just became sh*t all of a sudden.
If they don't fix the issue fast, I won't give their translation group another chance, I'll blacklist it. TapRead is such a disappointment.
