    Before watching the movie, I tried to read the book, but couldn't get into it. I then watched the movie and that was one of the best movies I have seen in years.

    Belated but Independence Day was a good summer blockbuster to watch.

    Some more good action blockbuster movies: Air Force One, Die Hard, Matrix, Terminator 2, Pacific Rim, Jurassic Park

    Others I recommend are Apollo 13, Forrest Gump, Gladiator, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Blade Runner, Lord of the Rings, Pan's Labyrinth, American Beauty, The Professional, The 5th Element, Sin City, Anchorman, Toy Story, The Prestige, The Sixth Sense, Spirited Away, Inception, Snatch...

    If you still need more, you could probably start watching the superhero movies. MCU has over a dozen films and Fox has a mini cinematic universe going with their X-Men franchise although DC needs to get their act together.
